just took delivery of my red 06 coupe....now have a few questions for you all...
1. What are the "must have" easy mods?...from reading on here it appears many like corsa exhaust and k&n intake...what about high flow cats to go with them?...underdrive pulleys worth the money?..computer tune? etc...
2. there seems to be a little more lifter noise on this engine than what i'm used to....not a lot by any means, but is this just me being parranoid or is it normal for these engines? (my last couple toys were 00 saleen mustang and 02 z06 vette)
3. whats the small switch by the drivers side kick panel?
4. pics comin soon and any other advice is appreciated thanks!

2.Pretty normal, heard many say depends on oil type as well.
as far as computer tuning you can go with VEC3 or SCT
then maybe some gears like 3.33 or 3.55
to bad no Roe Supercharger yet, so Paxton is your only choice ! and i recommend buying it from a viper tuner (DLM,UGR,DC,etc) you will get better support.

i cant speak about the DC flash never used it but i always heard good things about Dan.
as far as the VEC3 it comes with an internal smart card reader and pre-made maps (according to your mods) you can use the VEC3 software and the USB smart card reader/writer to modify and write new files to a smart card or request Roe Racing to write and email you a new tuning file if you installed new things.
you can plug the SCT into your diagnostic computer port to flash the PCM and it comes with a pre-made low, medium or high performance custom tunes made by Roe Racing, the SCT also can diagnose check engine lights and clear trouble codes and i think you can load new files via USB.

hey i just bought a throttle body from x-metal and im about to install it but i keep hearing conflicting info about tuning the truck after i isntall the throttle body. do i NEED to tune it after i install it or will everything be fine if i dont????

I have one sitting here too.
Your Tune should be just fine. What Gary @ X-Metal says to do is disconnect the battery AND disconnect the 3 plugs from your computer while installing the TB. This is to Reset the computer so it can adjust to the new TB.
