Offset ground crank

How far can a Gen 3 viper crank be offset ground? I know most builders stop at 4.075 but that is the limitation of R/S ratio correct. Thanks in advance for your help and any information

Actually, it has to do with how much material you start with on the crank journals. Also, whether you are moving to a 2.100 or a 2.000 journal size.

Each viper crank journal is actually capable of being (from the factory) up to .013 different from each other one. I'm not making this up. It is in the shop manual! So each of your STOCK journals are different. If you find a crank with journals that have lots of material on them, then you can go higher than 4.075.

But some cranks can't hardly increase at all. I was at a shop the other day where they had 8 cranks lined up. Some had lots of material on the journals to stroke with and others had much much less. like nearly zero.

good luck!
