Polished - looks really sweet but its the most difficult to take care of but its not like a lot of vipers get a million miles put on them every year. Its lighter than chrome and you can see stress fractures developing.

Chromed - looks good (depending on the wheel choice), is way easy to clean and stays in good shape BUT the risk of it flaking off is always there.

I prefer black powdercoat. They never look dirty

I've had both and can say from experience that Chrome is easier to take care of and looks nicer when properly polished.

Rarely driven cars + owner who likes to polish = polished wheels
Driven cars + owner who hates to polish = chrome wheels

I had my HRE's with a polished lip....chromed.

Polished are extremely labor intensive to keep clean, but I think they look 100x better than chrome and really flash without looking like you have too much bling.

Personally i think chrome looks TOO shiny, and dependent on your tastes maybe that is what you want. You also have the added negatives of weight and possibility of flaking on chrome rims (both of which may be minimal, as I've only ever owned polished rims).

You could always have the polished rims clear coated as well, but then you run the risk of swirlling the finish.

I say chrome, I'm not a fan of the upkeep of polished wheels. That's why the Iforged I have for my Viper are all chrome.

Mine are polished and I hate the maintenance - Chrome is better if you like the shiny look, no doubt......

I am selling a set of 10 spokes that have been chromed by Calchrome. Fronts are done, waiting on the rears. If anybody is interested, PM me.
