1. We had an opportunity come up earlier this year to work with one of the SRT suspension engineers, Chris Winkler, on the upcoming One Lap of America race (OLA). Chris is not only a very talented engineer, but is also a pretty good road racer and multiple SCCA national champion. I met Chris thru his boss at SRT, Erich Heuschle, who is also a pretty good racer himself. Erich describes Chris as "the best driver in the company".
2. SRT will be running a 2008 Challenger in the One Lap. Erich will be driving and Ralph Gilles will be co-driving. SRT was not able to run both the Challenger and Viper ACR, so that is where we stepped in. We agreed to acquire an ACR, prep it and provide it to Chris and another SRT engineer to compete in the One Lap race.
3. We have been worried that we would not be able to get the new ACR in enough time to be able to compete. But it looks as if the car is built and just got back to CAAP from Prefix. If we are able to get it shipped out of the plant this week then we should be able to get the car and have about a week to get it ready to race.
It's been a while since the Viper won the One Lap. Brian Smith was the last overall winner many years ago. The last 2 years a Hennessey Viper has gotten 2nd place. We feel that this year is the Viper's year and that the ACR driven by Chris Winkler will be more competitive than ever.
We currently have a few supporters who have helped with this effort, including Ringgold Dodge, Hennessey Performance and Lonestar Motorsports Park. However, running in the One Lap is not inexpensive. If you would have any interest in helping support this effort or would like to advertise on the car, then please let me know.

Our ACR is built and ready to ship out of CAAP. It's red with the black stripe. Many thanks to SRT, CAAP and Prefix for helping get the car built just in time to compete in the One Lap.

I was told that all of the ACR's are being built at one time and ours wont be here to late July to early August.
This does not make me a happy camper...
