How is the colour scheme working for these cars? I assume any of the colours are available, with the default being the large black centre stripe? The single offset stripe is only available on red as well (the one that goes over the steering wheel in leather to complement it) right?

The 08's are all sold out, although you may be able to find a cancellation. The blacks are supposed to be first, and there is around 5 already made and at PreFix getting stripes and aero. There really is no default, just pick what you want. My order has been in D1 status for around 2 months. I have no idea when I will get mine. It will be black with the red drivers stripe. The drivers stripe is available on Red and Black cars. Obviously, the red car has to have the black center for the drivers stripe. The Red and Black cars also get the aero in Clear Carbon fiber, opposed to having the painted carbon.

I don't think one has been delivered yet. They are doing Red first and then on to other colors. The drivers stripe is only available on Red or Black - as the stripe will always be red and the leather that continues it over the steering wheel is only available in red, too. With all the stripe, no stripe, drivers stripe and colors available - I suspect there will be few ACRs in each color combo.
I'm ordering an orange ACR if they still make them in that color for 09 - no large center stripe, as I want to match the comp coupe as closely as possible. It's going to be a great car. I better be able to get orange.... :-)

I've been goin crazy ref my Damn ACR. I can't seem to get straight answers...There is a hold up for sure. I was told it would be here on the 16th of this month. Now I'm told first of May, then I was told probably in June.
It's in D1 status. "Rocmans" has been in damn D1 status for 2 months now!!!!
I asked the dealer to re classify it an 09..they jus looked at me....
Ordered Black w/red Drivers Stripe, which comes w/clear CF wing.
The way it looks I'm starting to think Oct!!!

Yes, I'm looking to upgrade from my RT/10 and wanted to grab something half-way rare before the Snake's production runs out. When will they be taking orders for '09?
I was thinking a snakeskin green ACR, with the black centre, a driver's side green stripe and unpainted carbon aero splitter/wing with the forged sidewinders would took outrageous (in a good way).
Seeing as its not available, I'd probably go with orange 2-tone.
Does anyone else find this very annoying? For this limited run and if cars are truly being built to order....owners should be able to select ANY color combination that they want...as long as that color was ever used on the viper.
By the time the ACR FINALLY rolls out...no one will even give it notice.
Not sure about the dealers by you...but the dealers by me can't even move the 08s off the lot...they have already started to mark them down. And why the hell did Dodge send the 1st batch in that UGLY maroon color...talk about dull.
The death of the viper program and the excitment for the viper in general is not being killed by the competition, its being killed within Dodge, for clearly no one who has any sense of enthusiam or excitment is left working on this brand
All the ACR's are preordered by the dealers, and they have around 200 sold for MY08. I am sure that a few dealers have ordered them for stock, so not all of them are sold.

I know where a green 08 coupe w/black stripes can be had at MSRP........ not an ACR but a new coupe.
i don't think there are any left in that color....there was one in tomball,tx which i found for a guy last week but he bought it.....There are a few ssg still to be produced so your only hope is to call around and see if a dealer has one on order
