Just got my 08 viper back from the dealer, they flashed the computer with the new program, car has more power can't wait to get it back on the dyno and see what the dyno says. thanks SRT
Were did you get your reflash done ? I am getting my 2008 Viper done tomorrow(Thursday).My car seems to run fine,however it only has 55 miles on it and I have not pused it at all.Woodhouse said it needs to be done.I live in Fort Lauderdale.The 2008 is excellent,far nicer than my 97 GTS.Thanks...

Just roll into the dealer and complain of low power. Tell the service manager, not the writer, NOT to allow any test drives to validate the complaint. Explain that you have dyno'd the car and you understand there is a PCM update that corrects this, under a "misfire/MIL light" They should have it flashed for you as you wait. Tell them you'd like to watch. The tech <may> be annoyed, (who wouldn't like to flog someone elses's '08?) but tough.

I'm quite happy with the power mine is putting out, so if they do the reflash, is there a chance it would make less power? I have no issues with the car (2000 miles) and will be putting close to 1000 miles on it this weekend. I would rather them not do anything to my car.
Update on flash, I just got back from the update... My service mgr says that the new flash is for the first 200 pre-production models (mine is #115) so if you have a vin above 200 last three digits (according to him) you already have the flash that is in TSB 5. He updated mine and I noticed a bit smoother idle and just off idle but nothing else. I installed belanger headers last weekend so the next dyno we can debate how much was the headers and how much was the pcm update.....
Another update "not that I've done this" but the rev-limiter on the new flash is much more prononced so be prepared... and I have to say it seems to get there alot faster...
I had 08 Coupe done(75 miles),they took the computer out and over nighted it back to SRT and reflashed the computer and sent it back in a day.Car runs excellent and the throttle response is much better and it revs much quicker.I did not have to have mine done,but had it done anyway.You will like it.
