Factory tested and tuned to be ODB2 Compliant. This means they will NOT throw a check engine light. SPECIFICALLY designed in cooperation with McLaren, Dodge, and the EPA in the loop to ensure 100% bolt-on-and-go horsepower.
The cliffs notes version of how they do this is that by designing the headers properly the fuel is actually used up by the engine instead of needing cats to catch unburnt fuel droplets on the way out of the tailpipe.
This way the engine is using the same amount of fuel and you're getting a whole lot more power.
08 Header features:
Belanger super tuned long tube Tri-Y connectors.
Mandrel bent 1 3/4" port matched D ported primary tubes.
Laser cut 5/16" Flanges
3" Connectors
Headers are Jet Hot Coated
Kit includes:
headers
complete cat back exhaust
gaskets
hardware
instructions
COMPLETE BOLT ON SYSTEM - NO WELDING!
Exhaust Features:
3" High flow cat converters
Oxygen sensor extensions - utilizing factory connectors
Requires NO cutting or splicing of stock wires
Weighs 18.5 lbs less than the stock system
Aluminized tubing runs 50% cooler than stainless steel exhaust
Aluminized tubing retards rust and corrosion
50+ Bolt on horsepower with the complete kit!
Limited lifetime warranty
With over 50 years manufacturing performance exhaust components there is a reason companies like Dodge and Mclaren call Belanger for help making headers.
So would going catless, pass the sniffers with this new system?
If you delete the cats in the Belanger full exhaust you would probably throw a CEL because the margins for fluctuation are so minimal. Thats why a lot of manufacturers have had a lot of trouble with defeating the CEL on this new setup. Deleting the cats should easily fail the sniffer test as well.
The new setup is very tricky. It seems that even the Viper is not immune to technology anymore
Before purchasing another set of headers for the 08 just ask owners of various systems (Im not sure how many there are right now on the market) if they've had the CEL problem pop up. This could be why there aren't a lot of companies pushing them.
Those are the first tri-Y's I really like. They are as nice to look at as they are functional. I'd normally go for the 5 into 1 merge collector just for the looks and top end gain, but I really think this setup would be the best way to go until power levels demanded bigger primaries. Great product!
Hahahahaha.....ever heard of Ferrari or Lamboghini?...idiot
Fucking douche, neither company has had engines approaching near what the the Vipers can do naturally aspirated power-wise on the street. Ever heard of Ferrari???...you mean the piece of shit 355 we owned that was falling apart? Not saying Ferrari/Lambo enignes are bad in any means.

Do you have a before and after Dyno sheet we can look at?
I believe a member on viperclub.org dyno'd just the headers before the computer had a chance to even learn and saw huge gains. I don't have the exact link on hand but it should be easy to find.

So I would conclude from your response that the answer to my question regarding if you have a before and after dyno test result conducted by you is, "No."
That would be a correct conclusion; I haven't dyno tested these headers myself. As a consumer I generally trust unbiased customer opinions versus shops pushing product.
In my opinion a random guy with great results is a much better way to get an actual real world 100% genuine review of the product at hand. Getting the power from these engines isn't that hard in peak horsepower dyno terms. Its keeping the check engine light off that gets tricky and Belanger is the only company that has achieved this at this time (to my knowledge). Ask people that have given the various headers a shot and see what their candid responses are.
