2008 low HP

I put 2500 miles on my 2008 viper, and dyno'd the car on to different dyno jet dynos the car put out a average pull of 508 HP i have seen other people are getting 546 all the way to 560 HP i thought 508 was good at 18 percent parasitic loss. AT 18 percent that put the HP at the motor at 599.44 HP dead on with the factory 600 HP Then how are so many people getting such high numbers is my car low on power does any one no. SRT told me my car is right on and they dyno every car at the factory? what is the answer does anyone no i had my car in the servise department and they said a ok.
even John Hennessey asked me in a phone conversation why may car was so low on power. i put his new exhaust and a KN filter and got 547 HP the car seems to be fast is it, does anyone know please help both dyno jet's were set to standard. Thanks

I feel your pain. My 08 C6ZO6 dyno'd low. Car was broke in properly too.
Remember this :

*I like to use the old "Cut/Burn or Cut and Polish" method. After abt 500mi.,
HAMMER THE HELL OUT OF IT 1-3. Then back off. That's an ol' trick to really get the rings to seat.
*Dyno numbers can be played with..period. Preferred is SAE. Most numbers are done w/out air filters, few other tricks too.
*HAVE FAITH IN MOPAR - I PROMISE YOU THAT DAMN WEDGE V-10 DID'NT MK IT PAST THE ENGINE DYNO W/OUT PROPER NUMBERS!! If it was low then, it would have been tagged and sent back.
-----------
** DYNO, SMYNO...GUYS ALWAYS PUT SO MUCH FAITH IN DYNO #'S..THEY ARE GREAT DON'T GET ME WRONG...PLS REMEMBER TO ALWAYS ASK "WHAT DOES IT DO AT THE TRACK".....THAT'S WHERE IT COUNTS!!!
Good luck.

I would go to another Dyno. You would be suprised how dynos will put out different numbers. Then take it out and run it against another 08!!!!

What KN filter and exhaust did you use???

Go out and run the piss out of it. Disconnect the battery to reset the pcm, then go hate drive it like you're going to change the engine anyway. Float the engine around 3-7k in one gear about 10 times. (Full throttle, coast. Full throttle, coast.) Then redyno it. Most modern engines are built tight, and the more miles, the more power they make. The LS1/LS6 engines were notorious for not producing decent power untill about 20-30k miles. Drivers could feel their cars get faster with more miles.

That or bad gas could be the culprit. I'd get another 08 and put it on the same dyno.

Or he could see if a set of Belanger headers could fix the problem

He didn't mention it feeling sluggish or limiting at any certain RPM. I'd definitely try to rule out the dyno variable first.

I use only 93 octane, and i had it on to different dyno jet dynos and i wish i could get somone with a 08 to dyno there car on one of the two dynos i dyno'd my car on. There is another 2008 viper owner on this web site that dyno'd his 08 and got 522 HP with a KN air filter here is his link

http://www.viperalley.com/forum/vipe...o-numbers.html

My car put out 508 stock and 522 with KN same as his and 547 HP with KN and hennessey exhaust, i am starting to think my car is right on and it's just variable's in dyno's, this guy's car put out the same exact power as mine with KN filter.
