So my dealership had (key word here) 1 of 4 special edition new 08 Vipers that was in So Cal.
Well a customer came in and wanted to buy it, so they were doing the paper work and they handed the keys to a porter and the salesmen to go get it filled up with gas, at this point the car had 5 miles on it.
On their way back from the gas station they got 1/8 mile away from the dealership and lost control, crashing into 4 parked cars.
Witnesses said they heard loud engines noises, like he was pegged full throttle and turned around to see the Viper crash into four parked cars.
The driver (the porter) said his foot slipped off the clutch and he lost control :readclose
But its obvious by the pictures that he was going well over 50mph down the 35mph narrow street. My guess, he got on it in first and then hard shifted into second, and if you have ever driven a Viper, you know how tail happy they are. Well enough explaining, on to the pics.
Here's the car a few weeks ago when we got it into the showroom.
this is AT LEAST the 3rd 08' totaled with under 10 miles on it.. Another dealer had the same EXACT thing happen, with a 7 mile snake skin green 08' what are these guys thinking??
Im spending 90k on the car... Just give me the damn thing with an empty tank. I'll fill it myself.. PLEASE, keep the fucking lot guys away from the car..
When I buy a new car, I always say the same thing.. Dont wash it, dont remove any labels,plastic, and do not take the car to get gas.. I dont care if its pegged on "E" and wont start.. NO GAS trips!!!

+1, these idiots obviously can't control themselves.
We just got a '03 SVT Cobra with a 2.3" pulley and some other mods traded in. I confiscated the keys and Mech checked it. It truely has no grip in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. I estimate around 500 hp. So after I finished my duties I released it back to the sales lot. I just know that thing will be stacked up in less than a week. The original rubber is still on it and is hard as hell!
