What doesn't he get? The reason people get so worked up, at least I think, is because of his mentality. It is his perception about the viper that is a threat to what the viper stands for.

We don't want, or at least I don't, more vipers produced. If anything we want less vipers produced.

I understand his want for a better interior, but that isn't what this car is about. He is trying to change what the car was founded on. If he came from lambo's, porsches and ferrari like he said, why doesn't he just stick with them. Why try to change something if it doesn't fit your liking, especially when there are plenty of other options available.

It sounds like a Z06 would have been better for him or his wife, whomever he bought it for.


The only way I would like to see a ferrari like interior is in the "super viper" i have been preaching about for $150 grand...widebody, limited production, scuderia type interior, and TT
as far as the regular viper goes, leave it alone

Luckily for people like him, a toned down, girly refined sports car already exists; available at your local chevy dealer with traction control. And what do you know? They sell TONS of them, which sounds also to be in his liking. I see a dozen a day as a matter of fact.

I believe dodge made the 08 more refined than the 06. A little more heat insulation, revised exhaust, smoother transmission. I wouldn't be opposed to cup holders, traction control or less plastic, as long as that didn't take away from the true viper nature. The traction control would need an "Off" option. Maybe even a default "Off" option.

The zo6 is a cheap viper wannabe with traction control..so it exist

The z06 is a great car, so don't get me wrong...great bang for the buck, great performance

but you have to be blind to say the front of the car did not directly rip off the viper...also, guess who headed up the Z06 and is responsible for its creation???

Have you ever noticed that when people are describing the Z06, it almost always has "bang for the buck" somewhere in the description? There's a reason for this, and it is not good. The car can not stand by itself. It is a way to deal with it's shortcomings.

I personally would not want TC in the car. They would charge me for an option that I would never want in the first place. Why pay for something that the majority do not want. It sounds like they are catering to the people who matter the most. I surely would not mind nicer leather and more carbon fiber though.

I just finished reading the Robb Report best cars 2008. They liked every car tested except the Viper. Some people will never understand.

Just because a minivan seats 8, some people would argue it is superior to ANYTHING.

There must be more Corvettes per capita in Maryland than anywhere else. I drive 5 miles to work and must pass 2-4 each way. They are starting to be like mosquitoes.
