My dads wifes (my step mother) mom died and her funeral was today so I took the Viper.....250 miles one way over 500 for the day.....This women died at 98 years old....her husband is 95 and still living....they were married 74 years!!!
I got to the church just in time and it was a good service,,,,lots of people I have not seen for 20+ years....it was really good to see everyone.....After the procession to the grave yard we met at my grand parents home.
Everyone wanted a ride so I took 17 people one at a time for a ride....I did a 3rd gear to 4th gear boost pull.....I got everything from laughter....to sheer terror.....it was great fun.....my dad decided he wanted a ride...69 years old and had never been in a viper.....I did a red line 3rd gear to 4th and stayed in it for a few seconds.......he was scared shitless.......after we slowed down......he was laughing so hard.......it was great to see my dad so happy.....I am glad my dad and those other 16 people will be talking about this day for a long time.
First tank had some C-16 the other 3 times I filled up was pump gas.

While I wont say sorry for your loss, at 98 it would seem as a great life. So, how about a wonderfull job, and very impressive life she had. Kudos to her and her husband on the 74 years of marriage. They should be the model on which we all base ourselves on.
Now, onto the rides. It is great when you can make your parents laugh, or even smile. It is almost like re-paying them for what they have all done for us. And for the first ride in a Viper, it is great that it was in a boosted one at that!

Im trying to imagine sitting in traffic and watching a funeral train pass by and all of a sudden you see a 1500hp viper in the middle crusing along with the hurse and other boring family sedans. If there was ever a time when somebody needed their cell phone camera while driving, This would be the perfect time.

I am sure that did look a bit strange.....it was sad to have lost Stella and I fear Hubert will not be far behind her.........it was a great day to celebrate her life and give all those people their first ride in a viper.....I have to say this was by far the most fun I have had with the car so far.....Im not sure about the car but my ass was dragging when I got home..

Sounds like all the demo rides I give to new customers
My buddy Ray is always taking people for a spin in his SRT10 TT - with the same reactions. Had a few crapping themselves when he pulled 100mph from a stop to a stop in a carpark! That was wild!!
Good times and it builds peoples dreams or at least gives them an unforgettable experience. Good one Walt
