630BHP-18%(Drivetrain loss for AWD)=520awhp @ 3300lbs aka Viper SRT-10 loses. I raced a 996 TT with 500awhp/565awtrq @ 3050lbs. Got him by 1 1/2 cars at 160! Just stating some numbers and facts. If you want to see the car here's the link: USP Motorsports - VW Audi Porsche Performance Upgrades
I had a 997TT when they first came out. Car was nuts on a wet racetrack. Got bored with it and traded it in for a 997C2s a year later.
Your not the only one I know of that traded their turbo either for a GT3 or regular 911 S and was happier with that decision. The turbos are absolutely borring to drive, loved our 993, didn't bother with anything after that though I like the GT3. Our neighbor got rid of his 997TT after about 3-4 months, got bored with it.

Here is the problem with the 997TT. It is a freekin unbeliveable AWD supercar bahn burner. I ate up the track with it in the dry and the thing was insane in the wet. Problem is that it is more on a grand touring GT car. Five track days and the tires were toast. Fukin exhaust sounds like a cheap hair drier blowing through a bunch of empty beer cans. Its days were numbered when the GT3RS came home. The 997 C2S has less power but is more fun to drive than the turbo.
