Kevin called me out with a s/c car, not the other way around. Since I'm the one that would be making the 2800 mile round trip, I had one simple term regarding tires. Do they offer some type of driving class other than road racing? I would like to start showing up at the 60-130 and standing mile events, but I have absolutely no experiece with this type of high speed driving. My son is tired of helping me micro-fiber the cars off at the local shows. We want to go racing.
The only driving instruction I know of is for the road course. The 60-130 competition is on the 1/4 track. You do your burn out, then roll into it crossing the starting line and then the Driftbox on your windshield logs your 60-130 time. Maybe Peter can chime in with additional information.
No offense, the 2400 mile Atco funfest was never on my radar. I'm attending enough events in March and April already. I was only going to fit it in for Kevin and his "call-out". Since my ONE term will likely be passed-on, I won't make the cross-country trek. But if YOU can drive your own s/c car to a 10.41 in the 1/4 mile, on 19" street radials...you can have the bragging rights saying your quicker than me. At least until, we can actually line up side by side. Good luck.
