ron, can you paint my Z like that? maybe keep the outter sides the graphic gray pearl that it is, and do the center in matte? i wonder how that looks in person and how hard it is to keep clean.

I have heard from painters that Matte paint is really hard to do because it can get a modeled uneven look. I figured they wouldnt want to take the time to get it right.

Oh well I guess it would still be an option to get a grey one and have the paint put on yourself. I still may do it. We will see. I want to see how the real test go before I decide.

This was the type of paint job I was going to put on my current Viper. At first I wanted the orange in place of the slate and keep the matte black. Then, like I always do, changed my mind and wanted the same look as the concept, just not going down the front fascia of the car with the black and stopping at the hood line. Then I said fuck it, I am keeping my car the color that it was born. I have decided to buy another car to do the paint mods on. I don't want to get rid of a perfectly good blue/silver paint job.
If a guy was to do this type of paint scheme, one would be better off having a slate grey coupe and painting the panels black and then use a flattening agent in the clear on those areas. Te other option would take a black car and paint the opposing panels and just re-clear the hood, top, and rear with a flattened clear. Shit isn't hard to do if you know what you are doing.
I still think it would look good in orange or the current SSG.
