SRT-10-just because you can not roll back the miles on the Viper does not mean you have to be bitter to other Viper owners. It takes practice to be a good thief. I am sure with time you will scam and hurt many people out there. This one just didn't work for you. Now go buy a Vette and hit the corvette forum and try this scam again.
I am not bitter to other Viper owners, it was you that statred being a cunt to me. I only asked a simple question!

Don't worry. That's how these asshats work. They like to start shit and then point and go. "Wah, wah, wah. Why you starting all this bullshit?" There really just gay in the end.
Even more retarded than this poster. Is someone who would buy this fools car, thinking it had 1,000 miles on it. And, not being able to tell by condition, tires, brakes, etc, etc, it really had 30k.. But WOW, what a moron..

I think you could be right. They are very eggar to criticize, but when it comes to it they all drive old pieces of shit from the nineties!
Why is it that all the newbs come on here and try to swing their e-dong around by demeaning another man's income? This site probably has like 5% of the nation's total wealth spread among it's members. Talking about money here is pretty retarded.
Final GTS, I wouldn't answer any pm's if I were you. Shit happens to mileage tamperers. Bad shit.
To date, no one other than the tool in question and another guy I dont know from adam had the balls to ask... since I will only tell LEGIT guys on here I know have been around here forever, these guys havent been responded to. If the legit guys want to know for their own protection, thats fine and dandy.
If you indeed know how the system works and where it is actually stored, then you also know that any idiot with a key and a finger can find out if its been tampered with in about 5 seconds. Its fairly simple, just hold the "trip meter" button down, turn the key from "off"to "run" while holding it down, wait 3 seconds, and release it. All of the gauges/lights will go through their checks, and the mileage and VIN will be displayed on the cluster. If it doesnt match- You've been had!
1673 Viper owners just walked to the garage to check this... I can feel it.
But yes, to recap other topics, it IS in the PCM for one, though this can be edited by a DRB and is useless other than a backup, and is commonly wrong anyway. A DRB will not however overwrite the original VIN in the PCM, it can only edit mileage. And as the guy in question found out, it 'aint in the cluster- though the cluster will hold the information until it is reset.

oy... The guage changed to the real miles because the cars computer stores that info in it along with everything else. So when you hook a new cluster up, it read off the computer which doesnt lie. The question is, if it didn't do that and said 1k would you have been truthful about it?
Keep in mind... all liars will eventually partake in the lake of fire.
Gives a new meaning to the term "liar liar pants on...
Hey Final GTS, I tried your trick and my mileage went from 17k to 35k. Just kidding, mine is a 97. These guys are right, if you EVER get caught monkeying around with odometers you will be fucked almost worse than changing VINs. Wish I could give this pinhead some neg.
