Actually, every person in this thread so far is incorrect as to where it is located and how it works. If any of you LEGIT guys want to know, PM me. As far as posting openly, NO WAY. Just know it is tamper proof in many ways, no easy way to crack this egg.
I will say that it is ALSO in the PCM, even on SRT's like the Gen-2... but anyone with a DRB-III knows that doesnt mean a damn thing and cannot be trusted anyway... mainly just a back-up reference check.
I know the Bentley has a module dedicated just to mileage...supposedly un-changeable and 100% tamper proof...any attempt will dis-able vehicle and void all warranty.

SRT-10-just because you can not roll back the miles on the Viper does not mean you have to be bitter to other Viper owners. It takes practice to be a good thief. Then you'd have to bring it to me to have the vin and mileage "installed" by a drb. I know where the mileage is stored, and it takes an act of God (electronically) to alter it. It's illegal, and forbidden, (Federal crime) as the odometer is considered a federal document and the penalty is pretty stiff, so I'm not saying anymore about it.
