Will Paxton ever get a CARB # for Gen 3

Anyone have any inside info on if Paxton will eventaully have a C.A.R.B # for Gen 3's. It still says on their website that they are not street legal on Gen 3's or Viper Truck in California. Yet the Gen 2 's have a C.A.R.B #.

I know this applies to a small amount of Viper owners. Most of you in other states dont have to worry about this crap. Its hard getting a answer from Paxton direct. So just thought maybe one of the tuners would know or someone else with some inside info.

Getting CARB exemption is a huge expenditure that requires time as well as money to get the state's approval. It just doesn't seem cost effective from a business standpoint. Maybe they initially got CARB exemption in preparation for other states to follow CA in that "ECO-stormtrooper" sort of way and later saw it as being unnecessary with the later kits. Maybe they tried and CA just wanted them to give too much. Ya never know but I'd bet on it coming down to the almighty dollar.

Maybe one day they'll stop trying to step on the guys who put maybe 5K miles on their car a year and focus on stuff that might actually solve the problem.

Seems like it is going to become near impossible to obtain in todays legislature if they haven't already received it. Don't hold your breath. The smog laws are getting much stricter due to energy costs/concerns.
