Never in a million years would I pay that much for a viper, no matter what was done to it. It seems like there are GenIIs with that much power for much much less. I just can't see asking that much. It's like the Hennessey cars that seem to be on ebay forever for 225k.

Let's see...

06' Coupe $75k? Ok
Performance mods...$120K? I seriously doubt it.

I'm guessing you could duplicate that car for closer to $130k....tops.

Just for clarification (read:not hating at all), are they 78mm turbos as is listed, or 76s as is more common. I have never heard of a 78mm turbo, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist (I am sure it does.).

I don't know how anyone could argue with someone with Jakes credentials. I put an offer in on the car, we'll see how it goes.

What credentials are needed? Feel free to prove my estimates wrong...
I guess that 9.88 pass was worth $65k? What was I thinking...these record-setting cars are just flying on the shelves these days.

I am not sure who their Turbo manufacturer of choice is, but i think you can get a 78mm turbo in the Y2K series or gt42R/gt45. I am not sure on that either though

Settle down Jake, I based my offer on your estimate. Please don't start acting like a dick and ruin both your reputation around here and at the same time the basis of my offer. I told them Jake said so.

Sorry Jake's reputation is already fubar. Someone hit him a -17 recently. Although many here can not fathom spending this kind of coin on a viper I assure you it is very possible to have spent this and MORE.

As I recently learned, its very easy to spend that kind of money on a "well" built, "bulletproof" Viper. Engine and TT mods alone run 60K plus all the other beefed up suspension, trans and rear end parts etc. And at 180k or whatever it sells for, it is still a great deal compared to what 180K normally gets you. This car will own most cars out there. Yet people payed this kind of money for Ford GT's,Ferrari's etc and none could hang with this car. Hell, Hennesey cars run $225k

Too much money for me, but if i had the money,Id buy this car in a second. Especially knowing who built the car and the reputation they have. Maybe the seler will make a few bucks, maybe break even, all i know is its a one of a kind car.

I absolutely love the car. Incredible. Sure it is expensive, but I am sure Roof and KC did this one right. You couldn't begin to compare this to the Hennessey 225K Ebay shitbox. Two different leagues of cars.

I'm simply stating the obvious. Your rep button is cute though. Judging from your recent e-rants...at least you think your cool online. I will give you that, as you likely don't encompass the same delusions in real life. Have fun with that s/c car, as the C-teamers were hurting for some alternates to warm the bench for them at the next track event you attend.
