Up until recently nobody has taken the liberty to actually beef up a C6 Z06 'HARDCORE' like Heffner / Hennessey do with their vipers. Most of the C6 Z06's you guys see running around are just cammed with bolt ons. Lingenfelters TT C6 Z06 package with 1,100 HP is just the beginning of the 'Hardcore' C6 Z06 stage. Vipers have been around since 92/93 and up until recently have been the premier, #1 american sports car, and nobody can deny that. This Vette is an entirely new platform and a complete different animal from all other Corvette generations. Now that people are starting to learn these cars a little better, soon i think we will start seeing some more heavily modified C6 Z06's setup for drag / street ($100k+ invested). Anyway, im tired of the Viper / C6 Z06 pissing contest. Should i even mention that the Vette is holdin it down in every category with 1.4 less litres and 2 less cylinders!  They're both outstanding cars and beautiful works of art, i don't honestly understand why people can't just get along and respect the cars for what they are! I LOVE VIPERS, and i LOVE VETTES! I would own both if i had the money!! |

Looks to me like your fastest ever C6Z06 ran a 9.9 at 139 mph.....Tes they are impressive in stock form and with slicks. Been when you add bolt ons they dont seem to change a whole lot..Even the head/cam guys seem to only be trapping 3-4 mph higher than the bone stock guys?????And the best of the best is the 9.9 at 139 mph...
200,000 $$$ Vipers?????Ny friends GTS that went 9.9 at 140 mph has a 6K ROE...with a 2K NOS system and a 1K meth system plus bolt ons...About 15K in mods total....And he's just one of many..Even these TT setups producing 1000 rwhp an be done for 30K....Anyone who bought a new 2006 coupe for 70K could spend 30 K for whom ever to do the package and have big power....Your referring to the guys with 1600 rwhp..Yea they spent big money..But you dont need 1600 rwhp to run 9.9's man...750ish will do it
This is exactly what i mean.. 9.9 is slow? 9.9 is fast as fuck. Hell, 11 is fast. You must be one of the stereotypes im talking about with a 2000,00000,000 Horsepower viper and think you've got the biggest baddest car in the world and nobody can touch you and you get offended by people with vettes who try to compare a vette and a viper...
