I haven't seen this much flaming on a thread in a while, lol. OnesickZ06, yo you don't tire out of all the sh*t talking? Z06's are fast man, edging out a bone stock SRT-10, but when mods come into play, I think our Vipers have the upper hand. The ZR1 is going to be fast no doubt, but at at the super inflated price it will be offered at, the Viper will be the better bang for the buck than the Vettes. At the end of the day, the Viper is bigger, with more room to grow than the vette. I haven't driven the ZR1 yet, but have driven Z06's and Vipers back to back. I would never trade my Viper for a Z06 just because of how much more connected I feel to the road on the Viper. I think there is more potential for the Viper.
LMAO. It's more entertaining then tiring. I let the thread die and then they just get right back into it. I drove the SRT-10 viper coupe and vert at the SRT track experience. The car just feels like it has a huge motor(which it does,V10's are sick) and just doesn't have the "flick around" through the curves that the Z06 has. At least that's how I feel about it. Again its a great car and wouldn't mind owning a TT one. But don't worry I'm sure there will be more flame action. Just because I like the Z06.
I like the Z06 too man, I would have purchased one if I wanted a more tame car that's easy to drive everyday. All the electronics controls (traction, suspension, etc) are all really cool and fun to mess with. I wanted a balls out race car that you don't see everywhere, I found it in my 06 coupe. If I had a Z06, I wouldn't like the fact that I see C6's every time I leave my driveway. I'm not crazy about the rear leaf-spring suspension either. The deal sealer for me was that I got my Viper for less than a Z06 of the same year with more miles and the fact that it was one of the 200 blue with white stripes that came out that year. They make more vettes in one year than 15 years of Viper production. I like the exclusivity of my car and how much more it involves the driver than the Z06 does. This can be my daily driver if I needed it to be but thankfully, I already have a beater. Regardless, I'm as happy with my Viper as you are with your Z06. You managed to get a bunch of people on this forum worked up and it's been funny as hell. We need to sit back, twist one up, and laugh our asses off as we burn to all the disturbances you caused, lol.

I have no doubt your fat tub-of-lard ass isn't going to keep up with ANYTHING on a motorcycle. I guarantee you I would lay the wood to you in a bad way on a road-course or a drag strip. There are only so many drag strips in this country and there is a much smaller number of GOOD drag strips that are actually prepped to the level necessary to get max performance. I would say probably 10 tracks in the country actually get the prep needed to post good times. Thats why you always see the top guys running the top numbers at the same tracks. Atco, NED, MIR, Englishtown, etc, etc. There are always going to be a bunch of car guys at these events and those car guys are online and they know what these cars run. So if some guy shows up at MIR and bangs out a 10.85 in a Z06, you better believe it's going to be news everywhere and someone is going to know the guy and someone is going to know the car.
There ain't any guys running at the top of the game who remain below the radar - it just simply doesn't happen.

That's not true. Any track, ANY track can be overpowered, regardless of how it is prepped. Most cars overpower a track because it's very easy to put a lot of power in a car that can't handle it.
Good times, track conditions are just part of it. You can have the best track in the world, but if the air sucks and it's corrected to 2k/ft elevation it won't matter. Fast tracks are fast due to air.
the new vette is a beast the cobra wont touch it, the lamboes wont touch it and sure as hell the viper dont even come colse to being in the same catagory as the new vette. ooooooooo. and by the way the new viper out weights the new vette by 400 lbs. fact.and the new viper is one of the most uglyiest cars on the street. the rims are absolutely rediculos looking. the front end must stick out about 6foot. and the v-10. who needs it . chevy dont we only have a v-8. and we still make more power then the viper. waste of time if you ask me . so come on viper BRING IT ON BICTH.
