question about tires, slicks, bias ply etc.

I'm wanting to have a seperate set of road racing wheels/tires. I'll probably be using the hoosier R6's, and I'm wondering if I can leave the R6's up front and swap out the rear R6's for bfg dr's on nights when I go to the 1/4mi. track. Will it be ok to run the R6's up front w/the bfg's out back? Or is that the equivelant of running street tires up front w/slicks out back which of course is a big no-no... Thanks--Andy

As an addition to the question, has anyone used R6's as drag tires? I know they are made for road racing with a stiff sidewall. But their tread pattern looks perfect for the 1/4 mile.
