100% Bone Stock. It's true. And this WAS on the stock EMTs. Jamie is a very reputable car enthusiast who also owns a Ford GT. He is a GREAT driver. Here is the link:
we probably wont see anyone with a new 08 viper try so hard to get good #s stock its too tempting to change exhaust or swap filters it seems corvette guys are more patient i dont even know what my car runs on runflats i took them off instantly and got k@n filters.
According to my Power-Speed calculator a 3450# car (including driver) with perfect traction and perfect gearing would need an AVERAGE rwhp of 600. Pretty big numbers for a 505 RATED hp car. So if his car is stock it should dyno 600rwhp.
My supercharged 600rwhp Viper would smoke the tires at 90mph in third gear! My 720rwhp car went "only" 10.5@ 139mph on PS1's.
My Power - Speed calculator says my 720rwhp 3600# Viper should go 10.58@134mph.

^^Dude take a chill...This is the same Jamie Furman I think that used to be on Viperclub....Owned a few Vipers I believe....Great driving....Im absolutely flabbergasted at the sickness of the current Z06.....To hit 130mph seems impossible with the power given but yet here it is.....Congrats to Jamie...Would love to see him pilot an 08 Viper next.....
Well, I guess for people who care, the bright side is there seems to be less than a handful of people who have the magic ability to defy the laws of physics and run those "bone stock" numbers.

In my opinion I think their should be some kind of an event where people can take their vipers, vettes, FGT's, etc and run them. At this event they could have techs look over every aspect of the car and inspect it for aproval. Not saying someone didn't run this or that but 130mph as the car came of the showroom? Tons of great drivers in great weather and alt have only gotten 119-125. What ever.

Well, considering the DA that track usually runs at, you are effectively getting a low pressure supercharger effect from the atmosphere (Online calc shows 8% HP gain). I wouldn't be surprised to see a GEN 3 with a competent driver knock off a 125-126 MPH trap speed there on an ideal day.

I vintage race a Greenwood Corvette with a lot of history. Viperjim has a '69 L89. We are not foaming at the mouth Viper guys, we are car guys. We both think it's stupid when some Vette guy comes on here and posts what someone else did in his stock car. It doesn't make his driving or his car better. It does highlight his insecurity.
Look at this site. There is a Ford GT section. It is recognized as a wonderful American sportscar here and many have decided to buy both. Most of us here will freely admit the Ford will do most things better than the Viper.

Post was not meant for hate. As some have mentioned, Jamie has driven Vipers to great limits. Just thought people would like to see his new accomplishment. I should have titled the post differently, I can see how it appears to be bragging. Did not mean that to be the case guys.
BTW - Did you guys see my props to the Viper in my original post? PEACE
