^ Awesome... I didn't realize my mother and father were going to Canada. Pretty sweet, eh?
Agreed, I used to have 2000 coupe supercharged.
513rwhp
465rwtq and my 06 Viper Coupe fuckin owned it. I was really disgusted with spending that much money on a vette.
^ Any motor mods? What setup were you running... i.e Vortech, Paxton, Pro-charger? When you say "fucking ownde"... did you ever race them head to head?
What's wrong with spending money to personalize something and have fun? Cars are not investments.
An ECS paxton kit will make 540 rwhp on 7lbs of boost on a stock LS6 with longtubes... forge the short-block and things get interesting. Most make 750-800 on pump gas.

Heres what i had in the thing.
Vortech Supercharger,3:73 rear end,Spec 3 clutch, Z06 intake, headers, exhaust. I have a pic of the engine i think hold. My buddy raced me with hoe GTS ACR and gave me a run.
I like vettes, but then i bought a Viper and I think they are just a way funner car.
FWIW the supercharger kits from A&A in cali and the ECS boys in Jersey completely re-work the system. A&A uses a Vortech head unit and ECS uses the Paxton Novi 2000. They run a completely different tensioner/pulley system to increase belt wrap and eliminate slippage. Also, they run a FMIC vs. the standard aftercooler setup that vortech uses. The systems have come a long long way.
I agree with you that a Viper would be a more fun weekend toy... however I got my car primarily to run HPDEs, I still enjoy getting 27 mpg (after mods) on road trips.
And... my biggest issue is size... I'm 6'4" 250 w/ wide shoulders... I've tried various combinations in the Viper and it just doesn't work. Gen3 seats don't fit me and Gen2s w/ seat lowering kits don't work. Maybe I have a long torso but my head is on the ceiling in a Gen2 and in a Gen3 I stare into the windshield top w/ the top down.

Different strokes for different folks.
I agree. I had fun but for your size you would not fit in one i hear you on that one. That system does look like it has come a long way though wow. The bad thing i notice in the viper is definetly blind spots. I'm a big guy also but not tall.
^ C5Zs have bad blind spots too... you may allready do this... but learn to drive w/ your side mirrors. Adjust them all the way to where the side of your car goes just out of view, then go a smidge past that. At first it can be wierd not seeing your car, but it really covers most of the blind spot. C5 verts are just as bad w/ the top up.

We learned that in drivers ed. It makes a big difference in seeing motorcycles when they are off your rear wheel.

Please stop posting this gay ass shit. We have heard numerous times now that you cannot "fit" in a viper, and im glad. I wouldnt want to be associated with you. This is a viper forum, post that shit some where else. Last thing I want to look at is a vette or a cheap ass supercharger kit.

Andy did my Z a couple years ago. Got 554RWHP with his Procharger kit. I did have Kooks LT's, B&B exhaust, and had him add a Tial 50MM BOV. The car sounded wicked.
Yeah Pro-Charger pissed the tuners off becuase they decided that they wanted them to sell X number of the pro-charger full kits. Which meant A&A and/or ECS would have to decide which customer got the better re-engineered custom kit, and which got the Pro-Charger engineered kit. They really only wanted to buy the head units.
In the end both left and A&A moved to using Vortech and ECS moved to using Paxton.
When you say you had him ad a Tial 50mm BOV is that simply larger/louder than the one that came w/ the kit?

Yup. The stock BOV was silent. The Tial was way louder, and have an Air-brake wooshing sound to it. When they installed it, all the installers were tripping out. When I shifted at 6K, it almost had a rattlesnake type whoosh. It's hard to describe, but it was friggin cool. I would scare the hell out of people as I drove by.
