Picked up a used 04 mamba. In the warrenty book it says 7yr 70000 powertrain warrenty. The dealer told me today vipers never came with that. He told me the owner must have purchased it. I spoke to the owner he said no way it came with it. The dealer has a form I need to have the original owner fill out with in 30days. Of course he is out of state. just wondering if anyone had this happen. And when does that 30days start? From the time I registered the car? Thanks

My 04 bought new 11/04 had a 7/70 powertrain, 3/36 on the rest.
Dealers don't know shit! When I bought mine, I fucked with the salesman and asked where the traction control button was. While looking over the dash, he kept mumbling that it had to be there somewhere.
There is a form the original owner has to fill out. He sent me a copy of the window sticker. It said 7yr 70000 right on it. Ps you only have 30 days after purchase to transfer the warranty.
The warranty .pdf you can download from the dodge site has nothing in it about 7/70 coverage. Download the same .pdf for say a dodge neon, and the 7/70 coverage is explicitly outlined. I can't get to my actual manuals right now as my car is 2 hours away at maxwell dodge for problems with warranty work performed last winter. The car has 42k on it (single owner, so warranty transfer is not an issue). David Weaver at ART has told me that the powertrain does carry the warranty. Maxwell is telling me it does not. I have a cracked bellhousing, so this issue is pretty near and dear to me right now. If anyone can positively settle this issue for FEDBYVORTECH, I'm interested as well.

I heard 04 was the last they offered 7/70k. In my 04 warranty manual it says I have a powertrain warranty. Also on the orignal window sticker it says it as well. I hope that helps, my tranfer is in the works. I wonder how you crack the bell housing. Maybe to much wheel hop.
