2003 Srt10 Vs 2002 Acr Vs Fire Bird

got together last week with a buddy....

His car is a 2002 ACR
-no cats
-KN's ( of course)
-smooth tubes ( of course)
-short shifter
-3.55 gears

My 2003 SRT10
-KN's
-1.7 roller rockers
-short shifter

The Fire bird convertable
413 rwhp full bolt ons and "cam only"

We 3 lined up on a closed straight line course at 60 mph all in second gear...

Beep Beep beep....Wheres the fire bird???? not quite enough for this crowd..

he disapears rather quickly and it seams as though only the SRT10 and ACR are racing..

My SRT10 pulls about a car ahead of the ACR through second gear and we finsish up around 140 with me maybe two cars ahead..

We do this three or so times and the SRT10 is a lil quicker..

BUT...the ACR had a passanger while I was alone in the SRT10..So we agree to let the passanger ride with someone else and go again..

We go 3-4 times and it is kneck and kneck till 140 mph..Sometimes i was a lil in front sometimes he was a lil in front..But we were never more than a car apart..

Pretty much dead even races.....

I beleave that stock for stock the SRT10 is really only 1-2 tenths and 1-2 mph faster than the ACR...

If i remeber correctly the SRT10's have maxed out at 123 mph trapps while the ACR 's have maxed out at 121 mph trapps...

His 3.55 gears and no cats matched my 1.7 roller rockers and KN filters quite nicely....

Dam fun races man...But in the end the SRT10 won..because a spectator came and said he liked the look of the SRT10 over the ACR while they were parked side by side...

Sorry 2002ACR..had to rub that one in LOL

It was a good night for Vipers. I thought a firebird with 413whp would've been able to keep up a bit longer but all he got was 2 generations of Viper pulling away. Good times. Good times.

Oh, and the gears I have are 3.33. I think its a good balance between getting quick revs and too much shifting.

Nice. But I think that the rears are a big advantage and the SRT made that up with additional power. I dont think you are getting much more additional power out of roller rockers and the K&N.

We have a few, but they all look like crap or have a shot of our taillights disapearing because of our camera cars.
