What are you guys seeing as far as power using VEC3 or flashes with your GEN 3's? There is a guy here in Atlanta that just tuned a few Vipers and I seem to remember him getting 495/525 with a car with just modest bolt ons. Sounded pretty good so I wanted to see what you guys are seeing.

Thanks,

Thanks,

I used the DC tune, it works good. Gained alot of midrange. With basic bolt ons and tune, Im right at your numbers listed. Just have Corsa, no cats, green filters, Xmetal TB, Comp and coupe style underdrive pulley which is lighter and smaller. My biggest gains were from exhaust and removing cats and then programming. The other stuff was smaller gains ,but made a difference on dyno. I always used same dyno ,to keep results consistent.

I have heard from most people that the VEC3 yields quite a bit more gains across the RPM range vs. the flash. But of course you are spending over $1K just on the VEC3. Just considering my options.

The arrow cars seem to put down better #'s for whatever reason than the factory cars from what I have seen.

Not to worried about that..Seen plenty of vids of stock SRT10's beating stock C6Z06's..

In the 1/4 mile the C6Z06 will win...The gearing ( 3.42 vs 3.07) and weight (3190 vs 3390) will let the C6Z06 pull out of the hole faster and harder every time on its way to an 11.6 at 125 vrs the SRT10's 12.0 at 121...

But on a roll from 50-150 its a 450/420 rwhp car vs a 450/490 rwhp car...200 pounds and gearing mean very very little at a roll of 50..Thats why there are vids of SRT10's winning rolls and vids of the C6Z06 winning..Always seems to be within 2 cars eighter way....

The SRT10 has a lil more momentum off the hit while the C6Z06 has a lil more momentum in the higher rpm's...

Very good races from the many vids Ive watched...

I really am just trying to figure out what to expect from the arrow rebuild motor..Since the car has warranty till 2011 i wont be doing any modifications...

So honestly not to worried about your c6z06....With the bigger engine...better interior....rarity...ability to go topless and still hit 190's and overall wow factor I feel like I already won...

Not trying to be stupid as You no I really like your car and respect it for what it is...But to me the SRT10 is just more of what I would personnally want in a american sports car....Between the two..

now if there was no base corvette and the only corvette available to the public was the 75K c6Z06 then my tune would change considerably...But as it is now with 30K plus vettes that look a lot like yours made this year..

Well like I said I already won the race...And Im not to worried about your Z06..
Nonthin but love and I cant wait to kick your butt on the Xbox 360 tonight..

Not sure. I am sure some more people will respond on this, from what I remember the difference was noticeable..

Congrats on the new ride.

And just to add, as far as 1/4mile. Ive been to track 3 times, each time there was a few new Z06's. Best run I saw from one was a 11.9. Average was 12.2
So dont be to worried about 1/4 mile times. Because with 10-20hp even 50, it can still come down to driver.

Yes Im not to worried about the 1/4 mile or anything..The C6z06 is a hype machine..Yes it is a fast car..But not as fast as many claim...Everyone wants to spout off that the car runs 11.2-11.5 at 125-127 mph..

In reality it's more like 11.7-12.1 at 123-125 mph...Fast as hell.

I raced one with my 450 rwhp 1999 rt10. The hype was so biult up on the c6z06 that people told me not to race and he would walk/run away. Even some of our own viper members said I didnt have a chance and that I needed atleaste 480 PLUS rwhp just to hang..

Well I was scared to say the leaste of this mythical 10.9 at 129 tire only car..

But then we raced and my lil 450 rwhp stayed 1-1.5 cars back from 50-140 mph..There fast..But not that fast like many claim
