Poly motor mounts

Did my search and only found info on Gen II. Installed pipes, RT cats and such a while back. Read about the problem people are having with RT cats breaking and that stiffer (poly) mounts were better so I ordered.

Has anyone installed and is there enough "play" in things to be able to just jack up motor enough to do one mount at a time (I know trans mount is no problem).

If no one has done this I will just figure out myself and report back.

Thanks
Bruce

Yes,

You can just jack the motor up and remove/intall the mounts. It's a bit tight though. I had to convince the heat shields with my 3/4 ratchet to come out.

Do the trans mout while your at it. I got mine from Summit P/N ENS-3-1108G 20.95 + a 10.95 handling fee, but free shipping and a free hat

With only 12k on the clock, my driver's side was torn and the passagner's side was twisted so far the locking tabs were almost touching. My trans mount looked like it had seen better days.

Trans was a 15min job....every easy.

PS: It cracks and pops when the motor is on it's way up, don't worry, but it did scare the crap out of me when I heard it. I spend almost an hour checking things out to ensure I didn't bust something.

We ave the mounts in stock that they used. ours may cost a bit more but are better engineered for the Vipers needs and not a one size fits all urethane.
