flat tire on PS2

I just bought a new pair of PS2's for the rear and got a flat on the way home (heart it hissing when stepped out at the house).

Couple questions - Can a Z rated be patched effectively or do i need to replace it? The hole is probably a half inch across (there's a triangle of sheet metal in it, like a blade). Wondering if i can jack it up, pull the tire and take it in for a repair or if i'll have to replace.

Some will say NO, some say yes. It can be patched and run fine till the day you hit cords. But if the cut is long and its not prepped right and patched well, it could leak. If in doubt, replace it.

if you bought them from a local tire dealer, road hazard warranty maybe
