Ford GT seating/comfort vs. my SRT-10?

Would like to know what you all think about the Ford GT compared to our Vipers? (For those that have owned or driven one) Looking for Ride quality, comfort, etc.. Head room for tall people (I'm 6'4")

Heat Soak/Driving and it's effect on the car's power output.

Also, how do the dealerships deal with warranty work? (i.e. Not having the car for 30 days to fix a window)

Thanks!
Jason

I bang my head on the frigging window frame every time I get out of a GT (ok, twice) and I'm 5'8'' with heels.

The GT is much smoother, and takes the bumps much nicer, while still providing awesome handling. There is less headroom in the GT, but MUCH more cabin space. The GT is almost like a limo compared to the Viper. From my experience, there is not much heat soak, and the car drives with full power at all times, but I did not track my car.
I never had to take it in, so I can not respond to the dealer question. Your dealer experience will vary from dealer to dealer.

I haven't owned one but did take one for a quick drive and the headroom was an issue (6'4"). I think they make a seat lowering kit. Getting in and out was about the same as the viper.

The guilotine door made me nervous, but I loved the interior vs the Viper. Power and handeling dynamics seem real close. A GT vs a Viper wins the gawk contest as well. Your wallet's choice.

I'm not sure about heat soak as it relates to power output, but the last time I was on the track with a GT, it had to come in every session after about 10-15 minutes because of overheating issues. (To be fair, it was 100 degrees, with the track surface even hotter.) I could run my Viper hard for the full 40 minutes, with no heat issues, however.

2nd that Roc !!!

I took out the GT last night with a Buddy who is 6'2" and 250...

I have lowered my car 1" up front and 3/4" in the rear since he rode
in in last time.
He had no idea I lowered it until i told him..

The ride is amazingly smooth..

My Viper rides pretty well with the Penske's on it ... but nothing at all
like the GT....

There is a seat lowering kit, but it is ridiculously expensive. $1,410.00 to lower the seat two inches? You have to be kidding me. I don't care how expensive the car is; there is no way in hell I would pay $1400 to lower a seat.

Actually, it doesn't lower the seat. They take out padding from the seat, and you end up sitting lower. The seat sits right above the floor, so you can not lower the seat.

^ I had them do it to my GT and you're right in that all they do is pretty much remove some padding. My 6'5" 240lbs of goo fits in there much better now.
