cheap horsepower bold ons?

I have a 94 viper and i'm trying to find some cheap bold on ideas to add some more horsepower to my viper. The problem is when i search for the common stuff i'm having a hard time finding anyone that makes them. Like a ram air kit, or underdrive pulley set..ect. Seems like with my corvette and camaro i could find all kinds of parts. Also what about a chip? Ebay has nothing for the viper i'm discovering. I just need to add betwen 15-30 more horse and have about a 350.00 (or less) budget at the moment.

Thanks!

I'm having a hard time to when I do a search on E-Bay for bold on's.
The most common power adder is a Super charger like a Paxton set-up.
Just be careful who you talk to for advice on setting it up.

Can you give me any links to read about those items? I just added slicks and a short shifter, and full exhaust, just need to bump up the horsepower to around 20 more hp and I'll be compedative. Just no clue where to start and even my brother who builds motors for a living is having a hard time with ideas.

is this a link to the smooth tubes? Whats the benefit? I'm not familiar with these? I currently have red hoses there instead of the metal tubes (big difference if i buy these metal tubes?)

eBay Motors: 92-02 Dodge Viper Chrome Smooth Tubes (item 330135913551 end time Jun-24-07 08:49:39 PDT)

also i currently have a K&N filter... would there be any advantage to a S&B?

Ok smartass. "BOLT ONS" after as many posts as you've made i would assume you'd easily recognize the spelling error.

The Paxton setup? Did you read my post? I said a measly budget of $350 or less.

This is pretty much what my motor looks like right now

http://www.anythingleft-handed.co.uk...ngine-left.jpg

would the smooth tubes be a significant improvement over the red rubber tubing?

Thanks man, a few friends suggested this to me already. Alittle worried it might wear the motor down faster, but definatly within budget (or close enough) . Just learning that other than the obvious major performance additions there really isnt much you can do with the parts available for a viper.

so in summary really the only add ons are smooth tubes, nitrous, exhaust.....and?... i'm having a hard time finding a aftermarket pulley kit or really any other common simple HP upgrades. I should just say fck it and buy the venom kit....

Yep.. definitely wrong forums.. k &N = same as S&B pretty much and those red tubes are smooth tubes.

I don't think a decent nitrous system unless it is a super small dry shot is under $350 though?

I would also recommend the K&N for a 30hp boost. Definitely NOT the nitrous unless you plan on spending some serious money to do it right...

I thought it was a typo in the heading, but then I seen you typed it again for a second time in the thread, and now that I took a good look, I see you're posting this in the wrong forum as well.
Answer to your question is a Viper isn't a Mustang or Camaro, there aren't any under drive pulleys, glass packs, Hypertech goodies, etc., hence save up some money and supercharge it, as that's about the cheapest best bang for your buck you are going to see, and if you're on a budget get a second job to help pay for it.
See you on the late shift at Circle K.

I got the money but there are so many other toys i'd like to buy with that.. i think your right and i've been hearing this consistantly as well about the supercharger, but again it is currently not in my budget. Seems like i bought a car that not only is expensive to buy but equally expensive to upgrade as there seems to be a lack of minor mods in the current market for exotic cars.

Headers just take up too much time to install...
heads?..might as well start building a true dragster

chips?...nothing i am aware of

smooth tubes? My buddies say thats more of a gimmic and a engine dress up than any true hp gains.

Pulleys? nothing i can find yet

I already have a K&N filter but i have my stock air box. Is there an aftermarket DECENT cold air system for a 94? RT/10

I just put on a short shifter and drag radials today and trying to show them camaros and mustangs why Vipers kick ass

Thanks guys for your advice and sorry if i posted in the wrong forum

Smooth tubes can be had for under a 100 bucks and add 5-10 HP. They are not a gimmick.

not sure what that means..? Trust me i have SEVERAL vechicles that would demolish your laughable setup right in my garage. I'm not trying to build a dragster with this one, just want to keep it semi stock and bump up the hp as a 94 rt/10 is pathetic compared to stock horsepower of the newer cars coming out.

So anyhow installed a short shifter, full exhaust, and drag radials and kicked everyones ass last night street racing. Was surprised as some of these cars were fairly built.

I was thinking about these upgrades in the following order....

lower temp sensor
smooth tubes
vipair(??)
nitrous

also where can i buy a "ems airbox" ?

I just want to compete with a newer z06 corvette
