I am getting very tempted. Of course 790 changes temptation into the realm of what's known as impulse. You dig...

I have received a warning about "boomer" being banned from other forums for not delivering products. I have no first hand experience, but I think the warning is worth taking into consideration.

He had a little run in guys, nothing serious, out of four or five thousand customers he had a half dozen unhappy so I wouldnt worry

he can also customize them too if ya want, any style logo engraving or any placement of the breathers.

guys, i have never been banned from any forum, and i am not today.
i most definitley had some personality conflits with a forum owner on the VTCOA, and so i am not a vendor there anymore, i still post there, have friends there and i have a very loyal customer base around the world. every one has thier critics, human and divine. my goal is build the best products for Vipers, in house, and offer the most reasonable prices i can, and to combine that with 110% effort to make my customers happy.
i supply products and do business with DC perfomance, Daves Viper Shop, aka Dave's Big Brakes, Parts Rack, Larry Macedo and others, and i appreciate the opputunity to work with these great business and others.

My apologies, banned was the wrong term and I got a PM correcting that. "Demoted" would be a better term, lost vendor status. Again, my apologies.

Simply put, do your research and it's not out of line to ask for references.

good grief------i was not demoted. by doing research you will see that even the owners of the VTCOA and i both agreed to me NOT being a vendor. it was a mutual decision, from both parties. if you will do further research you will see other tuners/suppliers who support other Viper forums-- do not support them (the VTCOA) , and or have not renewed their status as a vendor. as i said before, packetjunkie, feel free to call me anytime to discuss anything, and get it straight from me, especially if its about me. call collect if you like. i can supply you with as many refernces as you like, simply ask. i am at your service

OK...reference number two. I have many products by Boomer, and as such I would recommend him in a heartbeat. I am not terribly active here but I do luck around once in a while. I have a 2005 Copperhead and a 2005 SRT Ram Quab Cab.

I have had 2 members with negative experiences with boomer pm me as of this threads creation. I have no idea if what they say is true or not but one is a very good friend and neither seem to have any agenda in telling stories. Since you say that you "deal" with other vendors "better" known, is it possible for someone to order these parts through them rather than direct? Again, I have no idea if any of the stories I heard ring true, but I also don't like risking almost a grand to find out myself.

The owner of the VTCOA ordered products months ago and still hasn't gotten them. That is why he wasn't allowed to renew as a vendor. Customers that were able to get things from him seemed happy with the purchases. The issue is getting the stuff from him.

If someone is worried about doing business with ANY vendor, simply use your credit card. That is why they have chargebacks.

I have been purchasing products from "Boomer" X-Metal for the past 3 years with no problems.

He doesnt have a warehouse full of parts (since he makes most of what he sells inhouse) so it may take a few extra days at times to get a part.....but you can rely on receiving a quality piece that is better than anything else on the market (if its even available).

I have also purchased multiple items from Boomer in excess of 3 grand, and everything has come in as promised. As the old saying goes "You can't make everyone happy all of the time..."

If you think you might get hood winked use an AMEX I know he except them and if you're no happy return the product and let AMEX retrieve your money, but I garantee you that you will be more than happy with the product.

my .02 cents

Just to set the records straight with FACT not he said / she said BS, I will say what is needing to be said yet be fair with both parties.

Gary was a Vendor on the VTCOA for some time before he was removed a a vendor due to Customer Service Complaints and a few other reasons. Xmetal has since asked to become a vendor of the forum again, but we (Jack and I) have chosen not to renew his vendor status.

We have Never removed 1 vendor from the forum due to customer service reasons (this being the first), all have been removed for there vendor program ending, or non-vendor fee's recieved past 30+ days, etc..

Yes, Boomer and Jack (FSTJACK) had an issue between them since Jack waited a while for his parts and so did many others, but thats all in posts. If you want a lot of info, feel free to check it out....

I am not here to debate the customer service aspect of Xmetal, I just want to provide a point that the vtcoa did not remove Boomer from the forum due to personal reasons. Yes there are good and bad experiences with every business, but too many complaints throw an alarm to the admins and moderators on the site, which is important to the members on any forum! On a personal level Gary is Top Notch, but I feel on a business level things need to be addressed.

Am I saying to buy or not buy?? Absolutely not...just check your references.

These are a few situations that led us to our actions....Once again, this is not pointing fingers, just a few links to what led to a decision.

Just maybe its because he quit sending you free parts like the other vendors for you to turn around and resell?
Or why dont youpost where Gary came back and explained and tried to rectify every problem and before he could finish you closed the thread?
Or how he offered to send one of the owners a throttel body for not sending the door sills he didnt deliver?
And how about it has only been less than 6-8 people that were dissastified, when he has had thousands of satisfied customers?
Or the fact that he fabs everything himself, no one else, just him, plus running a successful motorcycle bussiness and the X-metal bussiness and made more hp on the trucks than most any other builder?
no it definitly wasnt personal

Stinker, Im not going to ruin this thread, but I will answer your questions WITH fact, not just comments or attacks.

The forum has only received 1 part from Gary, and that's a Shifter to test and do a review on, which was done.

Not to get personal, but if I remember correctly, you had a post a while back did you not??!?!?

Viper Truck Club of America - View Single Post - X-metal throttle body vs Hennessy throttle body

As for stating his opinion..Hopefully you noticed the "quote" that people were referring to:

Viper Truck Club of America - View Single Post - boomer/X-Metal point of view

Yes, Gary stated his side...but thanks for making it look like he did not.

Now, Xmetal had 1 week to say anything he wanted to say on his side...I dont think it takes more then 1 week for someone to explain there side....Do you??

Yet more proof...

Viper Truck Club of America - View Single Post - boomer/X-Metal point of view

Now, as for Jack, door sills months ago and never got them or a refund....he DID NOT want a different part, he wanted his door sills or money back....I dont think thats out of the question.

as for "made more hp on the trucks than most any other builder?"

Im assuming your talking about Jrgnd?? Who did his Install Xmetal/Boomer!!

Ohhhh, your talking about his truck?? :
