Got both 3" 6 point Snake Oyl silver seat belt harnesses installed.
To save my embroidery mats for car shows I got, for every day driving, silver & black mats that seem to match ok-especially the pedals. I like the black embroidery mats the best.
Metal Accessories are Brushed SS and the dash pieces are silver.
The shoulder pads came out a liittle light in the pics. In person they match the Viper blue very good.
These pads match the Viper Blue better than the old pads with SRT 10 on them-they were a lot darker blue.
I took the Viper Saturday to one of our car club shows and the belts got a lot of positive comments.
The big question I get at shows and where ever I take the Viper-How fast will it go and how fast have you driven the car? Then the question that gets to me-How much did you pay for it?

i have a pic of mine in the other thread about installing my harnesses, check them out i finally got them done
I made one appearance change on the seat belts. The collector sets on a light tan leather pad. I wanted this to match the interior so I cut out some black leather and glued it on the pad.
Do you want these to actually work, or are they for looks?
Same question, different thread, LOL
Do want to wreck your car to see how well they work?
I know they provide lateral stability for cornering but the question is a little open-ended. I only 1/4 mile race mine at this point and NEVER want to test them but thats just me.
My son really wanted the driver side belts. I show the Viper he will drag it. I know more work is to be done on the belts.
Don't know how effective they will be. Some really like them others don't.
I dont use them for every day driving. In fact the passenger seat is hardly ever used and the only reason I wanted the passenger side belts was to give it more of a balance look.

The 2 lowest belts may end up doing more harm that good. They will not hold you in your seat - laterally or prevent you from submarining. In fact, the shoulder belts will be pushing DOWN on you and causing your lower torso FORWARD.
This has nothing to do with crashing - if you go to the trouble to put them on - you ought to do it right.
The anti-sub straps should be mounts where the lap belts mount, got over the seat and you wear them like a diaper.
Stabilizing your pelvis area is the most important area in a crash according to Dr John Melvin - who studies race car injuries and does TONS of testing at Michigan State. He's a worldwide recognized expert in the field.
So - no - I don't want to crash my car and find out- but when I install a safety item I want it to be done right. I certainly don't want it to potentially be more dangerous that stock.

I have to call BS of this statement.
I am by no means a recognized expert in the field of car injuries but I would be willing to bet head/cervical spine injuries are the primary concern, hence the use of Hans devices. Granted, the six point belts would do more good if they went through the bottom of the seat instead of around it but I bet the benefits outweigh the draw backs.

Call bullshit all you want - but stabilizing the pelvis in turn helps stabilize the upper torso -hence the industry and safety regulations all changing from 5 points, to 6 points, and now to seven points. None of these focus on the upper torso - but the pelvis. Stabilizing the pelvis and stopping the submarining makes the shoulders stay in alignment with the shoulder harnesses and therefore make the HANS devices most effective. Any submarining - however slight, allows the shoulders to drop below the upper straps and then all hell breaks loose.
Your install is incorrect and you could hurt yourself. If you think you added safety equipment, you didn't. If you think it's gonna hold you in your seat when you tighten them up - it isn't.
Do whatever you want - but I've attended a safety conference with Dr Melvin, worked extensively with a particular belt manufacturer, installed many belts, had my racecars pass all tech inspections, had a driver survive a pretty hard hit with ZERO injuries, published correct installation instructions for earlier Vipers - so I am not just talking out of my ass. I make it my business to understand safety and race cars.
If what you are looking for is bling - then you've accomplished that - it looks very nice. However - this is NOT safety equipment.
There seems to be a bunch of these 6 points getting put in this way. Do the instructions say that this is how they should go in? Where are the lower belts attached?
The install looks wrong to me. (At least it doesn't look like my Team Tech 6-point install.) I think that the bottom belts are supposed to be mounted back where the waist belts attach, so they can wrap around your thighs.

Exactly, when i was installing mine i wasnt sure where they went until i called another club member and he said that they connect to the same hooks as the lap belt so it wraps around your thigh. Makes sense to me. Not sure how doing it any other way would really be effective
The proper installation would be to attach the antisub straps to the same place as your lap belts. Lay them OVER your seat face down, sit on them and pull them up like a diaper. This will cradle your pelvis and all the attachment points are BEHIND you - holding you firmly in the seat and truly preventing submarining.
Be safe - install your safety equipment correctly.
