Where is Mr. Freeze???

It's starting to get very hot here in TX, boys. I had my car out in the heat a couple of days ago and much to my chagrin, the A/C is not blowing very cold air at all. At times, it almost feels like it's alternating between A/C and ambient air. The fan is working fine but the air just isn't cold. I bought her new a few months ago and she only has 400 miles on her so this shouldn't be an issue. Is this normal on the SRTC's or should I take her in to see if there's a problem? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

My SRT vert blows cold. When it did go out the cause was a bad hose that leaked all the freon. It was a simple fix under warranty.

Roger that, Doc. I'll wait to see what others say too but I'm guessing something is wrong.

I believe if you really get on the throttle, the A/C kicks off. (Seems like it does on mine.) Could that be it?

Hell if I know, CAP! I wasn't heavy on the throttle by any means though.

If you are at WOT or close the AC kicks off. When you are at idle, it doesn't work that well.

Take the car on the highway and do a steady 60 or so in fifth, if it doesn't blow really cold you have an issue.

I will do just that and report back, Doc. Thank you both for your input.

I had her out today and had the same problem. I ran her between 60-70 in 5th gear and she's still cycling between cold air and ambient air. Either she's leaked out the freon or something else is wrong. I'll get her into the shop and keep you posted. Thanks for everyone's help. I hope this doesn't turn out to be too big of a pain in the ass.

My 05 Vert has been in the shop about 5 times with the same problem, they finally found the leak to be behind the dash.

I'll tell them to specifically look there also, Chris. It's way too hot here to not have the A/C working correctly. Thank you!
