With all this anti corvette sentiment going on lately, I decided to sell my '82 vette by putting an ad on the infamous corvette forum. My sister bought it new in '82, then I bought it off of her and it's a real nice specimen. I want to sell it and get another Viper. The only problem is that it only has 39k original miles and at 19.5k is a real fucking stretch for those C3 peasants. Apparently, they are too busy waving their hands at one another and can't quite get a real job that will allow them to stop rummaging through junkyards for parts. You want to laugh?? Here are some of the pm's I received from these clowns.
"Please sell it to me for 12k. I want it so badly and have never seen one so clean before"
"Will you trade it for a 1987 Harley?"
"How many miles are on it?" (the title of the thread is "'1982 vette w/39k miles for sale")
"Can I pay you $3000 now and make payments?"
"Will you provide a warrantee for the next 12k miles?"
"I can't go more than 8k"
As if the C6 crowd is not embarrassing enough. These hippy pricks haven't any shame.

Oh, the embarrassment...................
not to be a asshole or dick
But I think you have spent to much time at the vette forums
you made fun of someone not reading title of ad but yet you post this in srt forum and not anything goes forum
I don't spend much time there at all but don't forget that I own 2 vettes. I cannot argue with you that I placed this in the wrong section. I usually do not go anywhere else on this forum than the SRT section, so that is the reason I mistakenly placed it here.
I'll give you $3500 and monthly payments if you give me a 24 month warranty. It has to pass a smog, and you need to send it to Heff for a TT before I will take it though. Let me know where to send the money.
It will be made out to you, but in a higher amount, so just cut me a check back for the difference. Great doing business with you.
i had a 78 which was the 25th anniv. year. not a silver one that had the indy stickers all over it. this one was bought new by my father who decided to give it to me as my first car. all white with brown leather int. great shaped year like your sadistic. Not sure if I enjoyed it so much because i was 16 and it was a classic vette or because my father loved it and passed it down when I wasnt his only son. (fuck you Ryan, my older bro, lol) anyway i could kick myself in the ass today for what i dumped it for. it was a solid complete car. no damage and i tossed it to a guy for 3500 !!! i have seen shit hole dumpers sold for more than 12 shortly there after. oh well. what is the other vette i see in the garage sadistic?
Nice car, Sadistic. No one is going to find too many '82s with less miles or in better shape. I almost died in a head-on collision due to ice in an '82 Collector Edition Vette. As you know, no-one wore seat belts back then. I can tell you that the steering wheel really hurts when it hits your chest (no air bags either). I broke my sternum, 3 ribs, had a bruised hard and kidneys, all kinds of stitches and spent 3 days in coronary intensive care. I loved that car but there wasn't much left of the front end after that accident. The other vehicle involved was a van and its engine ended up back in the passenger compartment. I got the worst of it though. It still hurts to even think about it!

Kingsnake, the other vette is a 1968 with a 454 LS6 crate motor in it. The motor does not even have 1000 miles on it and I modified the hell out of it with a big, solid roller cam, ported aluminum RHS heads, aluminum flywheel, 5 speed overdrive trans, custom 17" wheels and the list goes on and on for that car. It is presently in the body shop to be painted, fitted with flares, etc.
a friend just sold one for 15k, disgusting condition! brand new engine though, but seriously in horrible condition. I think the price your asking is fair, if its mint
Great looking car and the last year of what the Corvette really looked like.
The one in the Garage, need more pictures of that one. I guessed 69 but wasn't really that far off as I just read it's a 68.
Definitely a Beaut!
More pics of that one!
Jay K.
Here is a pic of the '68 before I brought it in to get painted. It will look completely different after being painted (different color, flares, original style front end, fixed L88 racing headlights, etc.)
Love it. Except for the wheels. You keeping those on?
LOL, those are custom made Boyd Coddington wheels, 12" x 17" in rear and 9.5" x 17" in front. They cost an arm and a leg. I ordered those to be put on with the flares. Just before the pic was taken, I put them on just to check fit. They are too big without flares. Of course I am keeping them on.

You are going to love the torque in that car. I have a 1969 427 L89 with a Richmond 6 speed and its always been one of my favorite cars to drive.
I used to have chrome Hooker side pipes on my 1st Corvette but made the mistake of pulling some of the fiberglass baffling out trying to make it a little louder. I ended up wearing ear plugs. BTW, your wheels will look great with the fender flares.
Viperjim, I have already driven the car with the modified engine. It's an animal. Right off of idle the thing jumps and never stops pulling. I guarantee that if I ran the Viper against it, the vette would pull, at the very least, 5 car lengths by the end of 2nd gear. I wish the Viper pulled like that off the bottom; no comparison at all. To me, the Viper is very soft until it gets to about 3200rpms. I ran a Z06 with the vette last summer and humiliated the guy. BLOWOUT.
The hooker sidepipes are junk. They are going to be canned in favor of Stahl sidepipe headers. I have STS baffles in the sidepipes. They are worth about 70hp on a hot big block like this. The stock Hooker mufflers are horrible power robbers.

I had a 71 LS5 and was going to suggest those STS inserts, but you beat me to it.
I LOVE those wheels, but I am a "resto-mod" kind of guy.
