DLM dyno results after 1500 mile trip to get there...
Drove it from Miami to Kansas City for our Dyno Day yesterday. No problems at all on the trip. Got to the dyno and had a minor hiccup (slight belt slipping from 1500 miles of loosening), we tightened the custom tensioner (so easy a kid could do it blindfolded) and finished off with this little run:.
Kudos to Doug Levin and his crew for one INCREDIBLE machine!!
Nice numbers Chris! What are your thoughts? Its unlike you to post just a dyno graph.
Yeah, well I actually wrote a novel over on the morgue and figured it would piss a few people off to have to get to the end. So I cut to the chase here.
Wife isn't crazy about the sound, everybody else loves it (Belanger headers make it a bit louder). Car drives exactly like stock otherwise - well, not counting the whine/whistle from the supercharger and the results when you plant your right foot...
I was just thinking about mufflers. I deleted the cats but in front of the stock mufflers I added a set of Burns mufflers. It really makes a difference when at part throttle. Much quieter and the wifey likes it better. But you still get the full effect when at half throttle & it still sounds bad ass when wide open.
Burns are used by both DLM & Heffner. Top notch handmade stainless steel mufflers. High quality and it lowered the decibel level under part throttle made it worth the extra dollars. I added this after the cat delete. It is hard if you go for an extended ride with the extra noise. At wide open throttle to me it sounds like the gates of hell opened up. I have a lot of extras from Doug. Even the rear mounted auxilary water cooler for continious boosting. The package is consistent because I ran a 10.40 & then in less then 10 minutes later ran a 10.43. I have never even threw a belt but I am running the 10 rib system. That belt can be purchased at any NAPA store when needed. I checked off all the options Doug had the day I went down there. If he has added any new options I will ask him this weekend when I see him.
Curious if you added Stryker heads like I did?

What Viper made the most power at that Kansas City dyno day????

Great mufflers, we have always used them.... SVS uses them also. We also use all there collectors along with there slips.
Wow I didn't realize they were that popular. To me that says volumes when the 3 most respected tuners in the country Underground, DLM & Heffner all use and recommend the same product. Funny thing is most Viper owners never even heard of Burns Mufflers.
