Open recall on the SRT 04? I'd like to know that myself.

Just got my rear end back from Drive train specialist (DTS) they set up my 3.55
gears for me and they said that the center pin lock bolt was loose . Good thing I changed the gears. Not saying that it's whats wrong with yours .
Good luck.

Dunno about the Gen 3 but my Gen 2 had that problem and it was the mounting bolts for the rear diff were loose, especially the 2 top bolts.

My 03 would "clunk" when I down shifted but it would only do it once. I had to put it in reverse and roll back a few feet for it to do it again. I took the local viper tech at Dodge for a ride and showed him. He put it on the lift and tightened everything in the rear suspension and the "clunk" has disappeared! This is after I switched to 3.55 gears so that could not have been it. GL

i did drop the car off this am, the recall has to do with the Camshaft. Klunking noise will be looked into in the morning....from talking with the tech, it might be some bolts that needs tightening but he'll know more tomorrow....
