The '05 Viper I just bought is running them on HRE 546Rs - what tires pressure(s) are best for street use? The previous owner said 29 PSI and Luke at the Tire Rack said 36 front, 32 rear.
Yeah, I think 34 all around is probably safe. And yes, the new car is Yellow - coming from CA to FL one of these days. Damn "Un" Reliable finally picked it up last Thursday (after diverting 2 previous drivers) but stuck it in their warehouse until a truck is in the area...never again using them.

Congrats. I know the car that you bought, it is beautiful.
I tried a few different settings. I am using 32 all around. I reduced the air pressure to 29 when I went to the track and had some good results running a 10.4 with that pressure.
Thanks all and when I get the car I will try a few pressures. Notice I said "when I get the car" - Reliable finally picked it up but stuck it in a warehouse in CA until they get a truck to bring it here in FL.
Hey Great One - how do you know the car...you are from NJ, right?
With the lower profile I would stick to the higher side on the street. 34-36psi. Alot of manufactures actually recomend 38-40 psi on there 19 and 20" wheel set ups so you dont bend rims, otherwise the tire can pinch down and damage wheel. Ride of course would be stiffer. If you have nice roads and watch for potholes you can probably get away with 30-34 psi. Just play with it and see what you like best.
