As the gen II cars are.

Seems everybody wants gen II cars with under 10k on them. I don't seem to see this as much with the gen III cars. Why is this? Or does the under 10k rule still apply.

Probably because people are buying Gen II cars as "investments" and are buying Gen III cars to drive them.

Every car is affected by mileage. I agree that many are being driven as compared to the majority of Gen 1s and 2s. With that said, the Gen 3s that have low miles will sell for more than those with high miles but neither will be worth decent money for a looooong time.

i think the 3rd gen viper is alot more of the daily driver in comparison to my gen 2....driving a 2nd gen viper is a bit more of a "chore" than the gen 3...so for someone to put a ton of miles on a gen 2...prob means its their daily car...

Yes, I do agree with this somewhat, but it has always been this way with the Gen II cars, even back before the Gen III's came out.

Are the Gen III's that much more drivable? Or is it just peoples mindset?

Honestly, I never thought my SRT was "special", so taking it to the mall or grocery store was just like getting into any other daily driver. I bought it as a daily driver because it was more livable. Whenever I drove my GTS, it was "special" and I just couldn;t see driving it in the rain or on crappy roads. it was also a more "difficult" car to drive - demanded more of your attention, was noisier, more "raw" - overall - more special and less DD.

I think that is why you'll see higher mileage SRT's - that and there were a lot of new folks getting SRT's that were really not prepared for the rawness of the car - so they drive it as a DD for a while and then wish they had the Nav and HUD in the vette -so they trade.
