Recently I have had some trouble with my 03' SRT. Now mind you that I purchased this vehicle about 30 days ago, so I am still deeply involved in the "Lust" phase of our relationship. I'm driving along and all of a sudden the rpm starts jumping all over the place, and all I can hear is the ever so sexy sound of the engine backfiring. An innocent bystandard followed me to a stop along the side of the road to tell me that I had left a trail of fluid for the last 3/4 mile. Thanks for the help...as they drove away!
After some exploratory methods, I am told that there was an overheating issue with the 03' & 04' coolant delivery system (including a factory recall). Lucky for me I found this out before I spent $1,800 to ship
my sled off to my tuner in North Carolina.
Has anyone had this experience, or am I just lucky?
