Yep. I took mine out, turned them over, and dumped a shitload of Gorilla Glue in them.

After the glue dried/expanded I took my Rotozip out and cut off the excess.

Stronger than an AF rollbar now and twice as light........

That's a good idea. Do you think the glue in the middle of the bar would dry though. Maybe fiberglass resin would work better?
