I'm with you there man. I have had bad experiences with the law and tinted windows. First off, it gives the prick a reason to pull you over and check them. I've had friends who were just a few percent below the legal limit (30% here in WV) and the cop proceeds to scrape the tint off right there beside the road! While the windows in his cruiser are almost black! WTF is up with that? It's also a surefire way to get your car searched. I guess it a case of a few criminal assholes ruining it for everybody. You really can't blame the cop though, I sure as hell wouldn't want to walk up on a suspect car and not be able to see if some <insert minority here> is heated up and ready to shoot my ass!

Having eye problems myself, I find that running tinted windows after dark makes it difficult for me to sense what's going on around me. Particularly at intersections. I can't deny that it makes a car look really cool though.
