Question about paint matching

I noticed that the passenger side door was rubbing everytime the door was opened or closed causing some paint to chip away at the upper front corner of the door. I took to the dealer today to get the door adjusted, so it is no longer rubbing, but now I have to make a decision about repainting...

I can either have them touch up the area with touch up paint or they will repaint and re-clear the entire door under warranty at their on-site body shop.

What are the pros/cons to having them repaint and re-clear the entire door?

Here are photos of the area (excuse the dirt--it's been raining)...

What, did you go to DocAdam's School of Car Care?

I'll defer to the body shop guys/gals on here (PBG, Zengarage, DennyWagner, ect), but I'd probably go ahead and have them paint it under warranty, even though it is in an inconspicuous place.

It's been raining here for 2 days - time to wash today, though.

It's not a huge deal to repaint and clear. The hardest part would be matching the clear finish with the surrounding panels, which on these newer Vipers there is hardly any orange peel if any. Should be a one day job. I am not a big fan of burning in the clear (spot repair) and would re-clear the outer door skin if it were mine.

Do a thorough inspection of other vehicles they have done paint work on. If they pass the discriminative visual test..........take a few hi res pics for future documentation to prove (to a potential buyer of your car) the reason for the paint work was negligible.

They did touch up paint yesterday and from a distance it doesn't look bad, but up close it looks like sh*t. I'm having them repaint/reclear the area now. They will try to blend it. Hopefully it will look ok.
