OEM or Aftermarket Clutch??
So my clutch is pretty much fried . I hear it's a 3 hour install, and I'm trying to decide whether I should go OEM, or Aftermarket, and if Aftermarket which Clutch kit is known to be most durable, for street abuse and/or city driving. I'm considering ACT, centerline and a few others. How much do OEM kits, or the aftermarket kits you reccommend Cost, Excluding Labor. I'd really appreciate the feedback!! Thanks in Advance!

I went with a stock clutch. It's like a fuse....if you put in something stonger, somthing else will break. Stock clutch is cheap. It's an easy R&R.

If you have the finances, and you want to add some mods to your car, I would suggest a aftermarket clutch. If you plan on keeping it stock, really no need.

So they put an OEM clutch in, my father is in the automotive industry, and his cost was $189.00 for an OEM clutch with pressure plate and kit etc. The Flywheel had to be resurfaced, as it wasn't in the best condition. That cost another 50 bucks. The OEM clutch is excellent! I love driving this car!!!!!

Its amazing what the markup for the clutch is at the dealer, when you can go with other aftermarket suppliers, and still get that same exact clutch!!!
It is the Factory clutch Bad MOFO.
What I don't understand is, the Dealer said the 06 Coupes have a different more heavy duty clutch??? Is this True?

LUK clutch at the dealer is like 500 bucks

I have over 20,000 miles and the stock clutch feels good. Am I lucky or do I just need more track time

It's all about money in their pockets. Dealerships are not your friends.
