I'm still learning the differences. Option wise, was there anything different between the 03-05 models? I may have come across a good deal on a fully built motor and I'm considering buying a stock 03-05 convertible and transplanting it in there. Then selling off the stock motor. Any help would be appreciated. I'm seeing 03-04's selling for roughly 50k, give or take depending on mileage. I've been looking at completed cars, such as NoRice's and Vette's TT. Something just scares me about a previously modded car. Which is funny, given I'm selling my truck.

There's a warranty difference, which shouldn't bother you. The 03s don't have carpet in the trunk and they have black calipers instead of red.
Nothing that makes any difference in performance. That said, all things being equal, you save a lot of money buying a car that has already been put together by a reputable shop. The little upgrades like Quaife and halfshafts and fuel systems and AEM and G-Force tranny add up pretty damn quick. Hell, you know that.
I always end up building up my own cars anyway. Glutton for punishment, I guess.
I agree, it is a lot cheaper to buy it finished. I trust the work of UG, hence why I like NoRice's car. The only thing I'm not in love with is the color and the wheels. I love black or silver as a body color. If I'm going to make the leap, I want to make sure I buy what i want. I just haven't found many modded 03-04 convertibles for sale

I have black and fucking hate it. It always looks dirty, so I gave up washing it. If I had to do it all over again I would hold out for a white Mamba. I'm not crazy about the red accents in the interior, but the few hundred white Mambas they built are the only solid white Gen IIIs built and they look really sharp.
Yeah, but when it is clean (even if only once every six months) it looks damn good. BTW the avatar pic was taken the day I took delivery and was the best the car will ever look. It's all downhill from there.
Although it would have been nice if they made some solid white cars without the hideous Mamba interior.
The only black car I've owned was a SRT6 CRossfire convertible. I guess it didn't bother me much because it was almost the size of a kit car, so tiny. Damnit, that means I need silver and kevin at UG already sold his car. Guess I might have to think about red a little more.
