I'm surprised so many of you think the Toyota Supra will be a collectable. I think that car already hit a high point in the market, and will only drop. To be honest, the only reason that car ever demanded more $$$ was the stout engine that accepted mega-mods without exploding. Yes, there are not that many out there. But if you're not going to CRAZY mod, which most collectors don't, the car is far overpriced for what you get. The people shelling out the money for these are 16-25 years old, and once they turn 30 the market will drop like a rock. The next generation is fascinated with AWD 4 bangers (ie. STI & EVO), and will not be willing to pay 30 g's for a Supra.
My Picks with reasons:
Viper Gen I/II (looks, looks, looks, power, rarity, V10, cubes, overall performance, racing history)
Prowler (old school hot rod styling, rarity, open wheel, limited production years)
Ford GT (limited production years, rarity, looks, performance, power)

Ford GT (limited production years, rarity, looks, performance, power)
Acura NSX (Aluminum construction, advanced technologies for time, reliability, looks, rarity, arguably first Japanese Supercar)
993 TT (Last Air cooled 911, looks, performance, AWD, technology for time)
Bugati Veyron (1000+ HP. Enough said. Some super-rich guy will always want one and pay)
BMW M3 (First generation) (High strung 4 cyclinder + ralley car looks, unique, rarity)
Buick Grand National (Already is a collectable, but will probably continue to appreciate)
Hummer H1 (Started the whole massive SUV craze, military/Arnold made famous)
I'm not 16-25 and I'm still a fan of unmodded Supras. It definitely wouldn't be at the top of my list, but there are not many cars that maintain their appeal after so many years. Plus Toyota didn't sell a lot of them at the time because of the high price, so it's relatively rare.
I'm not sure I agree that only Gen I/II Vipers would be considered collectable. Why not the SRT?
I don't agree with the Hummer H1 at all. It's hard to see any modern truck/SUV as collectable.

Racing history + LOOKS + DOMINANCE during its time!

I hear what you're saying on this one, but there are A LOT of SUV fanatics out there.... And eventually, there will be SUV collectables. And I can't think of a better pick than the Hummer H1. Many people still 'oooh & awe' over the H1, even though I don't see the purpose on-road. Limited production as well. Not too mention the oversized SUV vehicles that are made may eventually stop being produced due to politics, etc... This will make it even more collectable. Remember, this is my 10th pick and put it there to mix the list up a bit.
This is a viper board, and a viper is a great car and all.... It will have to be the year 2100 before vipers are a collectors car. There are too many of them! Same for the murci, gallardo, TT, hummer, jag... I suppose any car can be a collector at any time just due to subjectivity, but for their used values to go up dramatically, I say not soon!

Not quite. I'm not saying that all Viper's will become extremely valuable, but a select few will. I think that these are going to be the most collectible Vipers in the future.
