You know what I find funny is the fact that I have visited several other forums already that have threads that contain the 08 SRT with 600 hp, as well as this concept Viper....
The threads with the 08 SRT have maybe a few replies, mostly with mixed comments, and confused individuals asking "where are the visual upgrades?" and "What's up with the corny looking hood" etc...
The threads with THIS car though, even on the Ferrari board and other high end forums contain nothing but expletives about how amazing this car is, and how Dodge should build this thing NOW to raise the bar etc... I even found several "Blue Devil who?" comments... lol
Hmmm... Seems DC has a habit of showing us what we COULD have, but then not building it... Way to go!! You think DC would get the hint, and I really hope they do. Yes I know we could go out and build a repro of this car if we wanted it badly enough, but the question I ask is why should we have to?

Here's hoping that this car is in the works as an ACR or whatever they wish to call it! Hell, I'll even take it with the little red stripe!!
The car is amazing and looks damn close the Comp Coupe type car people are clamouring for. Some aspects might see production in an ACR type car. Did you catch Ti valve and Conrods? Any idea how much ti rods are these days??? They are NUTS outrageous. The car a shown is a $150k car...do you want that or a GT?

Great car, but sorry, not the comp coupe type car people are asking for. Until the dimensions of the car changes, and there are wider fenders, deeper/more aggressive front fascia, etc then it will still be a modded srt. Nothing like the comp coupe. The aggressive stance of the CC is what gives it a lot of its more exotic look.
That thing is fucking badass - I love the stripe, the interior, the motor, etc. What DC should do is badge this thing as an ACR and sell it at the price point of the 'Blue Devil'.
They hit a home run here with this car; I'd like to see more pictures and a promise that it will make production just like this one. Like somebody above said, DC has shown us some fantastic concept Vipers like the GTS/R and the Carbon - they owe it to themselves to build it.
Great looking car... thats what the 08 should have been to start with. Then I don't think all those people (including me) would have been so disappointed with it.
And I love how the stripe goes through the steering wheel... nice touch.

Concur 100%. And, as stated on the previos page...this is just like the Carbon. They do it ALL the time! Prep up an "08" with all the hot new parts...."available through Mopar"...and you COULD have this car (just like the Carbon). Did they (and will they) produce this car for retail in Dodge showrooms? NOPE! I doubt it.
All the hooplah over the "big announcement" was only for mere aftermarket/bolt-on parts (though they ARE Mopar).
Once again everyone is left saying "this is what the 20XX Viper should look like".....and once again it won't come to fruition. Bait and switch.....but you can have 600 HP!
