Who has a Paxton on a 06

Can you tell me what you like and dislike . And what else I would need to change .
I am thinking of doing a Paxton, 355 gears, Hi-flo cats , Green filters.
Would like to see another 150 hp or so and have it be super reliable because I drive my cars all the time when the weather is good.
I did a search but didn't find what I needed.

I am trying to figure out if it is the way to go for me.
If I do the install will I have to take it to be tuned, If so is there a good viper tuner in Michigan .

Thanks .

search and ye shall receive. many on here like rick run a paxton on their srt with great numbers and reliability. go with doug levin or underground for the install.

You probably won't be needing the 3.55 gears if you have the Paxton.. where are ya at in MI ??

GR8ASP in the Rochester area has a Paxton on his G3.

Blakewilder,
How much boost are you running? Stock or forged pistons? Any water/alky injection?

If you run a Paxton @7 lbs you really do not need gears. But you do need to throw away the run craps. An alternative to high flow cats is to delete the 4 cats and add a set of burns mufflers in front of the stock ones if you like to quiet the beast at part throttle. The S/C and the Burns mufflers sound great. This set-up has over 15,000 trouble free miles on it & a few extras courtesy of DLM.

Im running forged internals (8:0 compression) and the Paxton at 12lbs of boost. Alchohol injection on the Race gas tune and Hi boost. Also run a 150 shot but havent been able to use it because of traction issues....Ive run 11.3 @126.5 on boost only....lost of spinning

Ionia Mi.

Yes the run craps are off by spring . I have never owned a car with so much wheel hop. I can't believe they let these cars out on the market like this.
For this much money they shouldn't have this problem.... I thought the rear end was going to fall out the other day.
I like the brakes.
Thanks for the replys

I had ART installl a Paxton on my 04 and it runs great. The paxton is the only upgrade and it pull 662 HP at the rear wheels. I am about to have them do an exhaust upgrade too. And yes, traction is a HUGH problem.

I have used several different tires that work so much better then the run craps Dirtguy. Pirelli P Zero's, Kumho V700, Michelin Pilot Cups. So far the Pirellis are my favorite for all around street driving.

Hey thanks for the recommendation. I still have some life left on the ones I have. But when these are gone I'm gonna do wheel and tires. Definitely not going back with the run flats. Think I will try the P's. Thanks!

What kind of power can you get with the 7 lbs? All stock internals?

I would not go any higher than that w/out forged internals.

Dirtguy is making the above power on 8 psi and stock internals. We will be installing headers and high flow cats and should see right at 700 to the ground with no boost change.

ART did mine as well, and made 710. Have someone like an ART do your fuel and use a different computer, like an AEM or VEC2/VEC3
