not necessarily. There are a ton of those out there running at 700 or under with a safe air/fuel mix with no piston worries at all. It is people that don't have the right tune that have problems....or people that run really high in the RPM range steadily.

What I have been getting at in all of these posts is that those who piece meal their shit together with shops that do not have Viper tuning experience are taking chances. In this case, you have a used blower package that used to be plumbed for nitrous...that car always ran like shit for the record.....then you have the first shop that didn't know how to tune the car.....on to the second shop who states that the fuel system isn't up to snuff. Mike, you are at a quarter mile altitude....you never state that anywhere in your post. You are asking people about tuning/fuel etc...with no mention of altitude. I sold my coupe to a guy in Colorado. It ran like shit when it got there. The first thing we did was find him a shop that could tune for that. My coupe was in the shop there for about a day, and no more problems. You are piston gambling, and losing. Take the car to someone who knows these cars. Myself and others on this board can't do that for you. Please don't think that I am being an ass. I am trying my best to tell you what your car needs. Nobody on earth can key-jockey your problems on air to fuel ratios, especially when altitude is never discussed.

I think that's very well put. Good post Tucker.

I know it sucks living in AZ with a viper! There isn't anyone within 500 miles of here that knows what to do with these things, and me bringing it to another state sucks, just because being a buisness owner I don't ahve the time to spend a few days out of state. I think Cody was just trying to help me out in a round about way by selling me one walbro, that way I could by the forged pistons now, LOL! That's OK, I had $5k laying around that I didn't know what to do with! ;-)
If I had to do it all over again, I probably just would have stuck with the split second kit instead of the vec2. I would have learned to live with 620 to 650 rwhp.

So now that you need pistons, who is going to be installing them? It sounds like you are in a pickle being in AZ without anybody competent enough to work on your car. I think you will do yourself a favor by just having the car picked up and worked on by someone. You have Garth at Leading Edge Performance in Vegas, DC Performance in Los Angeles both only a 5-8hr drive and Cody at ART in TX, those being the closest to you. I haven't heard one bad thing about any of those places. Vegas is the same altitude as you also if you are at 2500ft and similar weather conditions, so the tune put in at Vegas should be perfect for Phx.

Here we go again. STOP BEING A CHEAP FUCK AND TAKE THE CAR TO A FUCKING SHOP ALREADY....... OR STOP WHINING ABOUT IT GOING BOOM.

This is absolutely rediculous. For all shops that read through this pathetic pile of a thread, I would not offer one bit of advice or help. Bow out now while you can. Let him blow up his car, or have a blower that makes a whopping 600 horsepower and runs like shit on a split second box. If I didn't know better, I would think that this is someone's AE just fucking around, that is how incredibly stupid this is.

Reach down between those legs and tell me who the kid is. If you are running a multi million dollar company, stop acting like a broke dick and get the car to someone who knows what they are doing. Hell, a grand in shipping should be easy for you to come by, Mr. Million Dollar Company. Do you not think by piddle dicking around with this that you are actually spending more time than just getting the thing to someone who knows how to fix it. People that run million dollar companies are generally familiar with opportunity cost. Familiar with that?

Also, Mr. Million Dollar Mike, why are you buying USED supercharger kits, and then trying to bare back this thing together? Most with your sparkling credentials should be able to send the car to their tuner of choice, where they would install and tune NEW components.

Do your homework, boy, before you open your mouth to me again.

Call me an asshole Mike.....BUT, without assholes like me, you buttfuckers would be out of business.

NOW FUCKOFF. It is about time for my nighty night story.

MDMike, as your car is out of fuel, I think you are out of ass for this. I also didn't know that Barrett Jackson sold fuel pumps and pistons...learn something new every day. I guess you have some time out of your busy schedule to spend some time with the other "kids" out there.

Spend my airfare on shipping the car to someone that can help you MDMike. This "kid" might be busy buying or playing with his toys this weekend. Mine run great down here in this low altitude. The tune is just perfect!!! This "kid" also runs a multi million dollar sales operation, so dropping by to tit pinch one another probably isn't time well spent. If your hopes are as high for me now this time next year, I would gladly accept your generous hospitality.

Now, please stop typing, get on the phone to a transporter, and ship the damn car off. I would gladly meet you at ART if you would want to actually fix that car of yours. I will even take you out for a beer. I just now can drink legally, and it is sooooo cool.

Also, coming only has one m. Phoenix would be capitalized, as would Barrett and Jackson. This "kid" just learned that in school.

Have a good night's rest sweetheart.

Mike, you really should research Tucker a little more before you talk that kind of shit. He's built up a bunch of high end project cars in the last couple of years and he knows his shit. Right now he's building a Cuda with all Viper running gear---is it going to be TT also, Tucker?

In any event, I like to work on my own shit when I can, but I do my research first. If you're going to be a do-it-yourselfer, you can't piss and moan that you talked to this expert who told you to put in X fuel pump and now you blew your motor. Run the numbers on what hp the pump will support and compare that to the advice you are getting. In any event, I think the one area where you NEED a qualified guy is the tune. These new EMU's are just to damn complex and it is way better to have someone that dicks with them every day. So get the thing built and then send it to someone for a tune.

Good luck with your build, but you may want to reconsider the manner in which you are approaching this topic on the board.

Finally someone with some class! Well said Kenny! The only thing that everyone is overlooking is that I specifically called Cody @ ART prior to any wrenching on my car and asked him what to do for the fuel systen, and he told me to replace the stock fuel pump and go with the walbro he sold me. In no way shape or form did I try to go with anything else, or cheap out, as I would have paid him $5,000.00 if thats what it took for the proper fuel system, but as I keep saying in here, I took Cody's word that this would work fine for me, but now when I called him and told him the car was running out of fuel he came up with this $1,500.00 deal, which again money is no object, had he told me about this set-up from the get go I would have bought that as oppossed to spending thousands of $$$ in wasted money on 2 smoked pistons, the million dollars for fuckin viper gaskets, a damaged head, etc.
I will agree the original tuner stroked me and didn't know what he was doing with the vec, but the new tuner that I found out here is pretty sharp and got the car making great #'s in 2 hours, but told me I was running out of fuel in the upper rpm range.
As far as Tucker goes; I could care less who he is or what he owns, the only thing he has shown to me and hundreds of others on this website is disrespect to someone in here for asking questions about issues on their car.

Where is the cry baby smiley. Mike, I heard the entire conversation you had with ART, and it went nothing like that. That is my issue. You took someone saying "these pumps are hit and miss, and that your altitude is different, and that 60 pound injectors are sufficient," as I can slap this shit on and it will run correctly. That was never said. And, as far as the $1500 goes, that is incorrect also. It is not my shop, so I will let them speak about that. There is no way in hell to do a fuel system with all of those pieces for $1500.

Your ears are tied to your wallet, and both appear to be empty. Stop looking for someone to blame.

Hold on here buddy. First off, if you think I've got class, you don't know me well enough. Second, you came back in your next post and took exactly the tact I cautioned you against taking. Cody has set up dozens of these systems, I highly doubt he told you only to us
