Tuning for elevation change

So I moved from Vegas which is approx. 2100ft asl to Chatsworth, Ca which is 900ft asl. The humidty since being here in CA has been within 10% each day that it is in Vegas. The car was originally tuned in Vegas when the outside temp was 100 that day and humidty was approx 10%. Do I really need to retune for CA? The car seems to run good, I do notice a little more popping though. I figure the car should have leaned out a bit for the drop in elevation, which means more air being pushed in. However if I was conseratively tuned in Vegas, the drop in elevation woudn't harm the car. Is the best way to keep an eye on the plugs?

If you have a decent stand alone computer(AEM, Fast, Motec) and tune(r) your tune will compensate for changes in weather/elevation. There are correction tables that remove/add timing according to intake air temperature.
