The new Viper will top the Z06 in every way... Braking, top speed, 1/4 mile, 0-60, track times, Max G's, etc... This will become abundantly clear the first time the cars are tested against one another, same day, same driver.
To deny this is, well, is denial. Isn't denial the first step to acceptance?
The only thing a vette does faster than a Viper is depreciate!
The difference is a 10 year old viper is 40K and a 10 year old vette is 15K. Vipers are #2 best on Edmunds for retained value. By the way, no one pays 88K for a Viper. Average is about 75K to 78K....HMMMM...same amount as the Z06 but your car will not hold it's resale value. Check the NADA values chump. And heres the big plus, I don't have to drive a mass produced sports car. 25,000 C6s vs 1700 SRTs. All day long, people stop and look at my vipers and take pictures and ask to get in it. When is the last time someone asked you...HMMMM...never because they just drove past 15 other vettes the same day.
Hey, I am thankful GM finally built a fast vette. Recall the days when Buick Grand Nationals, Mustang Gt's and Cameros beat your numbers on a regular basis. The Z06 forced DC to get off its ass and pump up the Viper again.

We all know that most Viper owners are single... have at least two ex wives... and have what we all like to call "short mans disease." Besides viper owners must have to be real queers to think that their cool becuase they have to have 10 cylinders and a higher compression ratio to make the same horse as a classic V8 chevy smallblock.
What a cock sucker, The viper engine is over built and understressed and there is plenty of power left on the table. The can take FI with no problem.
Add boost to an ls7 and they start poppin like cherries on prom night.
Riiiiiiight, that's why one can buy a 88K 2003 Viper for 49K right now with low miles..
I have NEVER seen a car take a depreciation hit as bad as the SRT-10!!
OK shit for brain, follow this:
The 49K low miles SRT 10 convertible (stock) you referenced above against your stock 2006 Z06. The main difference is the top isn't glued on the SRT10 and prone to fly off
According to Motortrend.com and Iv'e attached the links to save you a little time:
Now for some reason you think that when Dodge adds 100 HP and reduces the weight by 150 lbs in the 2008 SRT10, it will some how be a closer race.
Dude save yourself a lot of money. Sell the vette before it tanks in value and buy that low milage SRT10 you spoke about. In five years, you could buy that same Z06 back with the money saved. (but why would you?)

I wont waste my time with your stupidity, but, I will tell you this...
I will offer you 45K for your 2003 SRT-10, since that is what they are worth 4 years later..

The fact that the Viper is still worth 50k is not bad since most people bought them in the high 70's. The model is 5 years old now, came out in 02 and it is now 07. I hope you do not think an 06 Z06 will be worth 50k in the year 2011...

Dont kid yourself. In 2003, the SRT-10 was 88K. It can now be had for 49K with less than 15K miles. We just NOW hit 2007, so that means the SRT from Jan 1, 2003 to December 31st, 2006, has been on the market for 4 years. In 4 years, it took a 45% hit. Wow, that's great, isn't it?
"Joelfool", my offer still stands. 45K for your car...
A good Indication of value is transaction price. Viper goes for 10 grand under sticker. Z06 goes for 10000+ over sticker. The market determines value and the Viper is devalued from the get go. Both awesome cars but those are the facts.

OK, towel head, lets just say your math is close. Show me a GTS for less than 40K and I'll show the 100 vettes for less than 5K.
And again, no one pays sticker. I bought my 2002 FE #71 for 58.5k (NEW) Sticker was 79K. They are still selling for 50K (+). Thats not even a 15% hit.
Now lets say I was fool and paid sticker 79K. That comes out to a 35% drop in 5 years.

$10k over sticker???? I can buy them all day long at MSRP and even slightly under. Once the '08 Viper hits the market, Z06s will be available at significant discounts.

Great Im glad you do. i sell them for a minimum of 7k over. Once the 08 dodge comes out the new vette will blow it way and you will be stuck in second place again where you are used to being. But dont worry you will be able to buy the new viper ten grand under when the new vette come to dominate.
Matte of fact I heard of one going for 25k over. I just put one out to CA for 12k over. I have yet to see a Viper fetch those numbers.

Ok..."big man" with the cheby. Going with your same ignorant line of thought...you guys with the tupperware cars need to S/C it just to get close to N/A car...what a joke!
I will give credit to GM for building an awesome engine, but the only problem is there is almost nothing left to do but FI to get more power. Whereas, the Viper, the engine has much more potential N/A, well over 650 and it still runs like stock.
I know, I know. It sucks to be you. Poor guy probably got the SRT-10 almost new, and now you have lost almost 50% on it..lol
You can call me all the names you want, but I will still offer you 45K for your SRT-10..
Hey Fadi:
Before you stick a foot in your mouth, you should hope and pray that GM does not come out with the SS/blue devil. Then you will see how great of a transaction you guys made by paying 10k over sticker for your z06.

You know, you make some sense on this post, weird.
Luckily, I got my Z06 UNDER sticker and when the Blue Devil comes out, the only thing you need to be worrying about is how far behind the Viper is going to be, EVEN if modded with the unconfirmed Mopar 675 bhp package.
